Meet Anna Capra

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anna Capra. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Anna, so great to have you with us today. There are so many topics we want to ask you about, but perhaps the one we can start with is burnout. How have you overcome or avoided burnout?
There is multiple things to overcome a burnout, especially when you get it at least once a year. Take a vacation, self care day, switch up the techniques/habits you do, or take educational classes!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a hairstylist down in the west bottoms, I work at a salon called COLLAB. I’ve been a hairstylist for 6 years now, specializing in lived in blonding + bronding. I work with all of my best friends which is amazing!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
That it’s okay to fail!!! No one talks about failing in their career. Everyone has a bad day, week, or even a bad year…but it’s how you overcome it! You don’t need to be super talented just starting out, you just need a strong work ethic! Like they say, practice makes perfect.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My clients now are an actual dream. It doesn’t even feel like I’m working when I’m with them. You are who you attract, so if you love yourself, you will really love your clients. <3
