For me, keeping the fire of creativity burning is the most exhilarating aspect of my business. Specializing in one-of-a-kind designs, creativity is not just a driving force; it’s the very foundation of sustained success and building lasting connections with my customers.
My journey of creativity is guided by inspiration that surrounds me daily. The natural beauty of nature, the free flow of artistic expression, the intricate details of architectural design, and the timeless allure of the vintage era are the wellsprings from which I draw my inspiration.
What sets my work apart is my commitment to innovation. I’m captivated by inspiration and pour it into my creations, constantly pushing the boundaries by experimenting with materials, techniques, and styles. I gain such a creative freedom from this approach, an opportunity to tread uncharted paths, and explore unconventional ideas. And it’s precisely this journey that often leads to a rush of excitement.

From a young age, the world of fashion and style held a special place in my heart. I always wanted to stand out in this area, though my path to achieving this dream was not a direct one. My journey into the world of jewelry design was a surprising and unexpected one, filled with twists and turns that eventually led me to the creation of Heavenly Beads & More.
As a high school student, I developed a deep passion for various arts and crafts, but I never entertained the idea of pursuing it as a career. It wasn’t until after obtaining a degree in Political Science that destiny intervened, guiding me towards a creative calling I had never anticipated.
In 2004, my family was stationed in the heart of Texas, and it was during this time that the seeds of my jewelry design venture were sown. Even before I had ever crafted a piece, the name of my business, “Heavenly Beads,” was given to me by God. It was a clear divine sign, urging me to explore this new creative path.
With the name in my heart and a spark of curiosity, I embarked on a journey into the world of jewelry design. Armed with determination and a thirst for knowledge, I began to research, learning everything I could about this art form. Every lesson, every technique, was learned through trial and error.
The moment finally arrived when I completed my very first piece of jewelry. The sense of accomplishment that washed over me was unlike anything I had ever experienced. It was a mixture of excitement and pure joy, and in that moment, I knew I had found my true calling.
In 2005, I took the leap of faith and officially launched Heavenly Beads & More. The journey from that point forward has been nothing short of exhilarating. Designing jewelry and continuously learning new techniques became a source of endless fascination and inspiration.
What keeps me on the edge of my seat, day after day, is the process of transforming a simple thought into a tangible work of art. The thrill of creating something extraordinary, something that didn’t exist before, is the driving force behind my passion. It’s this very excitement that fuels my creativity and motivates me to explore new horizons within the world of jewelry design.
My story is a testament to the idea that sometimes, our true passions and callings find us when we least expect them. Heavenly Beads & More is not just a business but a manifestation of a lifelong love for fashion, style, and the art of creation. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey there were certain qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge that proved to be incredibly impactful. For me creativity is the driving force behind the unique designs that set us apart. To develop and improve creativity, I recommend exploring various sources of inspiration. Keep a journal or digital notebook to capture ideas as they come to you. Most importantly, never be afraid to experiment with new materials, techniques, and styles. Innovation often springs from the willingness to explore the unconventional.
The skill to translate creative ideas into well-crafted, tangible pieces is of high importance for me. To develop craftsmanship, invest time in honing your technical skills. Seek out mentors or workshops that can provide guidance and expertise. Continuous learning and practice are essential to refining your craft.
Understanding your target audience and their preferences is very important. It helps you tailor your designs and marketing strategies effectively. To improve your understanding of customers, ask for feedback, and maintain open lines of communication. Building strong customer relationships not only enhances your business but also fuels your inspiration.
For those early in their journey, my advice is to prioritize the development of these qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge. Stay curious, continuously educate yourself, and seek guidance from experts in your field. Remember, every journey is unique, and success often comes from a combination of perseverance, passion, and a commitment to personal and professional growth. Stay dedicated to your vision, embrace the challenges and joys of your journey, and you’ll find fulfillment and growth along the way.

The most significant influence my parents had on my life was raising me in the church. This upbringing laid the cornerstone for my entire existence. From my childhood, they instilled in me strong moral principles, Christian values, and an unwavering faith that I continue to uphold and cherish to this day. These values, centered on honor, integrity, and charity, have become the foundation of my business. I will forever be indebted to them for the profound impact they’ve had on my life.
