Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Tim Hall. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Tim, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Confidence and self-esteem stem from belief — belief in your abilities, your purpose, and, most importantly, in yourself. Our world often distracts us, directing our energy towards others and situations that offer no real benefit in our journey. This can lead to constant comparisons and the tendency to place others on a pedestal, eroding our own emotional well-being.
This is why utilizing tools that maintain a balanced focus on connecting with and embracing your authentic self. The day you prioritize your personal growth is the day you start to live life in your own lane.
Always remember, you are remarkable, possessing the qualities to become the person you aspire to be. The key to unlocking this version of you lies in your willingness to put in the work to nurture your growth.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My journey to this moment has been like a comeback tour. From leaving my comfortable life in Australia to now living in LA, starting a new business, making friends and following my passion. Helping people become their best version.
My life destined me to do this. From the age of 13, my mum was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and I had to grow up fast and help my family look after her, feed, clean her and while trying to get through my teenage years. But, I always reflect on the gratitude of those years as they have shaped me into the person I am today. When mum passed 2 years later, believe it or not, life got more challenging because I missed those growing up years. I had no close friends, struggled at school, in social scenes, my confidence was non-existent. It was a period that cost me going pro in my sport, excelling in education, building close relationships with family and friends. I just buried all my emotions, put up a wall and followed others.
Don’t get me wrong, I still grew over that time, played and coached at a semi-pro level, worked hard in building a business and, even though from the outside I looked in control, inside I wasn’t. I knew there was so much more of me to discover. Amazing parts of me hadn’t seen the light and I wanted to change that.
That’s where my personal growth journey started and finding my new passion. I lived in Bali, travelled the world connecting with healers, leaders and people, who opened my mind to what’s possible. I picked up self-growth tools like journaling, breathwork, visualization and I was off. Nothing was stopping me and everyday I jump out of bed excited for what the day holds instore for me.
Tools that I use daily and along with my sport coaching experience, I have fine tuned all these tools to build programs that guide athletes, executives, business owners, and individuals to go inside, discover, connect and step into their highest version. It’s so powerful!
I may not be a doctor or specialist, but I have a wealth of high-level experience, other education/certifications that allows me to resonate with all people from 13 year old kids to adults ready some guidance to make a personal shift and change their life. The relationship we build on our journey together is not a client/coach relationship, you become family to me and I am with you every step of the way.
As my family, I will challenge you to find greatness and support you when needed and know this… you have greatness inside. I already see it and it’s my dedication to achieve greatness in your results and trust me, we will succeed.
So, I sit here so proud of the journey my life has taken. I use my past as inspiration to achieve greater heights through my breath, personal growth, routines, habits, leadership, values, goals, and that’s the same journey I offer you.
If you want a greater purpose, a clear direction, or improved performance in all areas of life, I know I can help you.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Consistency is key – Inconsistent people get inconsistent results! Establishing a structured schedule and routine in your life is paramount, enabling you to prioritize tasks essential to your journey. I can assure you that when you consistently commit to showing up each day, your life can only progress in one direction.
Learn to embrace the challenges on your journey. Challenges are inevitable and success depends on not allowing them to dictate your thoughts, emotions, or actions. Often, when faced with challenges, we allow emotions to guide our responses. Instead, acknowledge the challenge, appreciate the opportunity to learn from it, take those lessons and evolve, and remember that growth only occurs through learning.
Start your day with a deep breath! By this, I mean incorporating a daily breathwork practice into your routine. Research has provided substantial benefits of deep controlled breathing on our mood, attitude, and emotions. It’s an untap power we all have. My daily breathwork practice includes visualization, giving me a burst of energy and sharpening my focus for the day ahead.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
I touched on it briefly before, but breathwork is a huge part of working with me. Our breath is like the remote control to our nervous system that controls emotions, mood, thoughts and perspective in how we see moments in life.
Feeling overwhelmed is an emotion that can spontaneously show up at any moment. You might feel pressure from work, uncomfortable in a social setting or just worried about your day ahead.
So, I want people to take this emotion as feedback, to let you know you are not present and that your mind is trapped in the external environment. An environment that can take your focus and energy away, leaving your mind unable to calmly process what’s happening and start connecting more to negative thoughts.
How do we change this? You must first regulate your breath. When overwhelm hits, slow controlled breathing with long exhales will calm your mind and will trigger the body’s natural relaxation response. You will notice the noise of the external environment starting to quieten down (as your heart rate drops), you will disconnect from that and connect more within, opening a space to calmly accept, process and act.
I have used guided breathwork and visualization to help people overcome flying, high pressure moments like sporting games and presentations, and facing fears. All from training their breath everyday. Plus, you feel amazing and in your full power after every session.
If you fall into this basket, I recommend accessing tools online or checking out my website for tools to help train the way you breathe. I promise everyone I have guided has never looked back!
