We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Saturne Tchabong a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Saturne, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My relationship with God and my ancestors has kept me grounded and confident beyond all understanding. With every closed door I encountered I became more confident that God was simply protecting me. My optimism comes from relying solely on faith, not what I can see or even understand.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a writer and a reality TV producer. My expertise lies primarily in story producing, where I excel at crafting compelling narratives that captivate audiences. My keen eye for detail and ability to identify captivating storylines have earned me a reputation as a trusted and sought-after professional in reality TV. Additionally, I have a diverse skill set that extends beyond story producing, encompassing casting, challenge creation, development, and screenwriting.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The ability to network, self-branding, and authenticity. These things have allowed me to stand out amongst my peers, allowing me to have access and opportunities that are rarely given.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
Two books have played a significant role in giving me wisdom and guidance. One is, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and the second is, The Defining Decade by Meg Jay Ph.D. “When you are in search of your personal legend, the whole universe conspires to help you.” – Paulo Coelho. That quote from the Alchemist has gotten me through many anxiety-filled moments in my career.
