We recently connected with James Joffrion and have shared our conversation below.
James, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I definitely get my resilience from my parents and my siblings. They all have been through a lot and they inspire me in more ways than one.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am an actor and I’ve been taking my career seriously for the past 6 years. From on stage to on camera there is nothing I can’t do. I Currently have a film that I’m a part of titled “They Call Marshal ” thar has been submitted into a film festival. If you played Street Fighter 6 videogame>hat guy sitting next to Lil Wayne in the commercial with the beard is yours truly. Also about to start filming for my project titled “The Beginning of the End.”
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
First I would say do your homework and study the business side of things, so do your research! Second, I would say learn how to network and meet others, there are classes for that. Third laughter is medicine and can help people remember you if you can make them laugh or leave a good impression.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
Take breaks and getting some fresh air helps. I usually take nature walks or check out some artwork. Find other creative things to do to keep the spirit high.
