Meet Lester Greene

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Lester Greene a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Lester , so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
Well, the haters used to fuel me, but now I’m learning to ignore them. I am trying to set goals for myself to accomplish. The haters are no longer the bar. I set my own bar.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am an actor and host. I love playing different characters on television, and I love interacting with people when I’m hosting my talk show. My goal is to make this world a better place. I want to make people feel good. As far as my work is concerned, you can catch me in a new Tubi series called Street Legal by Dennis Reed II. I appear in episodes 2 & 5. I star in a faith-based Tubi film called Driving Force by Antoine Allen, and I just dropped my own Tubi talk show: The Lester Greene Talk Show. Also, look out for the Act Like You Love Yourself documentary starring, Nadira “Naz” Pankey, Andrew R. McCallister and myself.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Well, I’ve been acting for over a decade, and I’m just now starting to see major results. It’s a process and the number one thing that has kept me going is my ability to never stop. Consistency is the key. Belief is another key. And talent is the last key. Just knowing what I can bring to a production is everything to me. I just know I’m very good at what I do. It starts with me.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
I am learning to leave negative people where they are. I cannot help everybody, and I just prefer to surround myself with good people. I don’t need a lot of friends. I just need a couple of good ones.
