Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brandon Love. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Brandon, great to have you with us today and excited to have you share your wisdom with our readers. Over the years, after speaking with countless do-ers, makers, builders, entrepreneurs, artists and more we’ve noticed that the ability to take risks is central to almost all stories of triumph and so we’re really interested in hearing about your journey with risk and how you developed your risk-taking ability.
The nature of what I do involves risks. So, it was essential that I became comfortable taking calculated risks. I practiced the concept from a young age while buying and selling different things, but I began to really learn about calculated risks in business school at Loyola Marymount University. It’s pretty much the idea that there will be opportunities, but some opportunities do present the possibility of failure. I was able to develop a comfortability with risk through experience. In order to minimize the possibility of failure, sometimes you have to fail. In those moments where things go awry, its crucial as a business owner to really learn from the past. So yeah sometimes you fail and failure doesn’t always mean a huge loss either…but sometimes you win, and the win is such a victory that it gives you the confidence to take more calculated risks.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
After 8 years of selling and consigning thousands of sneakers on many platforms and amassing a wealth of knowledge about the game, I founded Void Articles in 2023, an online sneaker museum where every piece tells a unique story.
I had the idea to showcase sneakers in this way when I realized that there were stories behind a lot of sneakers whether it was surrounding the fanatic releases or what an athlete did while wearing the pair. I’m always interested in the stories attached to what I come across so I decided to make a platform like that. I joined different platforms and tried different forms of outreach until I felt like I found where our target audience was most receptive. Now, we are in the process of over-communicating our identity so customers now exactly who we are and what they get at Void Articles.
Void Articles is where style meets history and passion knows no bounds. I encourages enthusiasts to join the movement and embrace the artistry that breathes life into street fashion. Our next exhibit will be available for purchase on our website:

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would say number one is being resilient. The nature of being an entrepreneur is to be able to overcome adversity, and still find a way to flourish and build something that has integrity. How does one build resilience? Understand that a failure doesn’t mean it’s the end, but rather confirmation that you are on the right path because it’s a moment to learn, and move forward. Keep going.
Number two would be having a thorough understanding of different marketplaces. Knowing that each marketplace requires its own unique strategy to selling. If you are a seller, then you should be signed up on different selling platforms. Pay attention to the trends within in your business – what’s selling on what platform at what price point? Many selling marketplaces offer yearly reports, sharing insights on industry trends, read them and update and evolve your business strategy.
Finally, the art of the deal: negotiating. Mutually beneficial deals have always been something that I’ve prioritized in my business. Negotiation can be daunting, due to the potential rejection, but you have to get comfortable hearing “No”. The art of negotiation is a great exercise on resilience.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
At the moment I am looking to partner with consignors. People who are looking to sell rare memorabilia or unique collectibles like: signed items, rare sneakers, limited edition trading cards, or vintage apparel.
If this sounds like you, visit our website voidarticles.com and fill out our “Become A Consignor” form and we will get back to you!
