Hi April, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I didn’t find my purpose, my purpose found me! My purpose comes from how I grew up as an individual. Knowing that once I was able to obtain my goals in life that I would be able to give back. I found out quickly that others did not need a hand out but a hand up.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As the owner of Delectable Sweets, the most exciting relevance to the business is  allowing us to be creative while providing an experience.Watching the excitement on client’s face, this allows our food creation to be tantalizing to the palette. Most recently Delectable Sweets has indulged in charcuterie. We provide custom grazing boxes up to customized grazing tables. Our most recent endeavor is providing brunch to feed more outside of the catering realm.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Learning to be relevant on social media, change and having like minded individuals that are willing to provide mentorship and support. You must have a support system that will be honest and being opened to their constructed criticism. My advice to those that are early in your journey, you must create a platform to allow those that will speak into your business whether it’s positive or negatively. We all can learn from them both!
