Great question. From an early age I just knew that I wanted to be an actor. I had a strong desire to bring characters to life on stage and in film. Then as I grew and worked as a professional actor, I tried to distill this passion and gain clarity on my specific brand and discovered the common thread was that I wanted to work on vivid characters in highly aesthetic fantastical worlds. Finding my purpose was highly influenced by my faith and my family’s history of volunteerism and charity. Ever since I can remember, my dad and mom were involved in giving back to the community. I may have not fully appreciated it at the time, but this spirit of “otherness” definitely inspired and influenced my own family to find meaning and purpose in helping others. Read more>>

Purpose. That’s a funny word we hear often, right? ‘Find your purpose.’ ‘What is your purpose? ‘

I found my purpose by walking the path of dissolving intergenerational, colonial patterns on both sides of my multiracial family and becoming a responsible steward of my ancestral wisdom and spiritual, indigenous traditions. Growing up I had a strong feeling that I was meant to do something of impact but for years was perplexed as to what it was. Looking back, I was always interested in health, wellness, and self-development but it wasn’t until my body was compromised and I had no where to turn, that my path naturally changed. Read more>>

My purpose in writing is to expose injustice. I had experienced a grave injustice at work and had to sue my employer.
