Meet James Worthy

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to James Worthy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi James, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Iv’e gotten my work ethic from learning, and watching those who are better than me. Being around the arts, and entertainment at a young age I always had a respect, and admiration for creativity which made me create. The work ethic came when I decided to be one of the best.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hello readers. My name is James Worthy. I am a Recording Artist, Producer, Songwriter, and Entrepreneur from Queens, NY. I’ve grown up around the arts all of my life. Before professionally becoming a brand I started out songwriting which later turned into music production. Being a young fan of several genres of music like House, Dance, Hiphop, R&B, and etc my ear was groomed to understand sound, and structure towards music that most other people didn’t hear.

For those who aren’t aware I have worked with some of the biggest artists in the world by producing, songwriting, and featuring on songs with them. I myself have accumulated a billion streams, and counting within my catalog of music.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My most biggest qualities would be Confidence, Consistency, and the passion to learn from those better than me. You will never become great with a mindset of thinking you know it all. Things are constantly changing in any business. Always stay ahead of the rest by listening, learning, and understanding even when people don’t understand you.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing they’ve ever done for me was to let me be as creative as I wanted to be. If I didn’t have that luxury I wouldn’t have had the courage to go after my dreams in life. Thats the most important out of anything.
