We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Izzy | Esthetician & Lash Stylist Rosas Vazquez . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Izzy | Esthetician & Lash Stylist below.

Hi Izzy | Esthetician & Lash Stylist , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I definitely get my work ethic from my family! Especially my parents.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a beauty fanatic that became an Esthetician now specialized in Natural eyelash extensions. In particularly custom sets to fit a person’s eye. I’ve done almost everything in the beauty industry except cutting hair! haha I knew right away that cutting hair was not for me. However, I became determined to find my “why” and my passion in the beauty industry and tried almost everything. I now run my own Salon Suite and have the most amazing clientele. I am a big believer in our thoughts become our reality and truly believe I manifested my space and clientele.
I love where I am today and with social media and passion for digital marketing. I am beyond excited to find a way to help other beginner beauty pros start their own journey in becoming their own beauty bosses.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
My 3 qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful were

1. My work ethic. There’s a phrased I’ve heard that goes “Talent without work ethic is wasted talent”. My parents really
gave me an example of work ethic and resilience.

2. My curiosity is definitely another quality. Never stop learning. Question everything.

3. Looking back I know for a fact that the knowledge I learned from having a beauty blog, a YouTube channel
when I was freelancing as a make up artist and all of that self taught knowledge in website/blog building, marketing and my
love for content creating including some curiosity in physiology. Although is not much and just self taught knowledge. All of this came in handy when going on my own as an Esthetician opening up my own salon suite with just a few number of clients.
When I have downtime, I still like to occasionally learn for free online. Without my work ethic, my curiosity to always learn something new and my interest in marketing world and content creating. I truly don’t know if I’d would have pulled off getting booked within the first 6-8 months of my first year owning a salon suite.

My big advice to other beginner’s would be to stop comparing yourself. Don’t just copy and paste what other’s are doing and instead I encourage you to have curiosity.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I’m not necessarily currently looking for someone to collaborate with. However, I am always open for a potential collaboration. Anything creative or that could help others.
