We were lucky to catch up with Janel Love recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Janel with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My strong work ethic is deeply rooted in the values instilled in me by my parents. Growing up, I was raised in a household where hard work and dedication were the cornerstones of our daily lives. My parents, both of whom are exceptionally hardworking individuals, set a remarkable example for me. They taught me the importance of showing up every day and giving my best effort in everything I do.

As a mother of three beautiful children living in the heart of Central Florida, my days are often filled with laughter, family adventures, and the magic that only a place like Walt Disney World can provide. However, the path that led me to my current role as a theme park content creator was anything but ordinary.
I trace my love for theme parks back to my childhood when I would accompany my dad on thrilling roller coaster rides. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for the adrenaline rush and the enchanting atmosphere of these magical places. Fast forward to my second marriage, which brought me to the vibrant state of Florida, where my husband and I established a thriving fencing and gate company. Life was good until the unforeseen arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to reevaluate our business strategies.
During those uncertain times, I found solace, joy, and a renewed sense of purpose in the enchanting world of Disney. I began to frequent Walt Disney World, relishing in the magic and escapism it offered. It was during one of those moments, while seated beside the iconic Walt and Mickey Statue, that I made a spontaneous decision to create a TikTok account. I wanted to capture and share the captivating experiences that had been brightening my days.
From that day forward, I wholeheartedly delved into content creation, providing a unique window into the world of theme parks for my growing number of followers. With no prior experience in content creation, I turned to the vast resource of knowledge available on platforms like YouTube, where I learned the ropes and honed my skills.
What started as a simple way to share my joy soon transformed into a brand that extends beyond the gates of theme parks. My content is not solely about thrilling rides or enchanting parades; it’s about spreading joy, kindness, and giving back to my community. For me, success isn’t just measured in views or likes; it’s about making at least one person’s day a little brighter through the experiences and stories I share.
As I continue on this incredible journey, my goal remains unwavering: to be a source of positivity and inspiration, offering a taste of the magic that exists in the world, even in the face of adversity. The theme parks that have been a backdrop to my life’s adventures have become a canvas through which I aim to create moments of joy, one video at a time. In doing so, I hope to remind others that even amidst challenges, there is always room for happiness, and the power to make someone’s day a little bit brighter is within us all.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Indeed, cliché as it may sound, finding that one true passion can be a life-changing journey. It’s where your heart is, where your energy thrives, and where your true potential unfolds. Equally valuable is the ability to be kind and friendly. It’s a universal language that opens doors, fosters connections, and brightens lives. The skill of working with others and being open to learning from them is a priceless asset. Collaborative efforts often yield the most creative and innovative solutions. Yet, perhaps the most valuable advice is to embrace the possibility of failure. Failure is not a roadblock but a stepping stone toward growth and improvement. It’s where you unearth resilience, adaptability, and the courage to keep pushing forward. Even when the path gets tough or things don’t go as planned, showing up is the most potent testament to your dedication and commitment. It’s the relentless spirit that paves the way for success, one step at a time.
Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
One of the most significant challenges I currently face in my line of work is my age. In an industry that often seems to favor younger and more popular content creators, I’ve found myself grappling with the question of how to navigate my unique position as an older mother figure. It’s not always easy to accept that my path is different from many others in the field. However, I firmly believe that the key to overcoming this challenge lies in embracing my authenticity. Instead of trying to be something I’m not, I’ve made the conscious choice to present myself to brands as exactly who I am—a seasoned content creator with a wealth of life experiences to share. This shift in perspective is my way of not just resolving the age-related challenge but also celebrating the value and wisdom that come with being true to oneself.
