Meet Bridget Covill

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bridget Covill. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Bridget, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience came from walking through pain and learning to use that pain to serve others! I have a story of teen pregnancy, overcoming addiction to alcohol and anxiety, and a journey of awakening. Each time I was met with resistance, I knew that resilience was the key to moving through it.

Life is not about never experiencing hard stuff, but it is about your relationship to the hard moments! Learning to create unshakable trust in myself and the Universe has helped me strengthen my resilience over and over again.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My story began in 2019 when I chose sobriety for my life. I very quickly learned that drinking was not my biggest problem, but it was actually my thinking. It was the way I saw the world in the way I thought the world saw me. I knew alcohol was standing in the way of creating the life I desired, but I had no idea that removing alcohol was actually the easy part. Choosing sobriety was truly the catalyst for me waking up.

I never needed rehab or AA or anything like you normally read about. I found that Coaching truly gave me the tools to manage my mind, process my emotions , and learn how to actually feel better. I started my journey working with a mindset Coach, and it actually caused more harm than good because it left out a huge missing piece. If we want to truly feel better, we have to learn to feel and feeling takes place in the body. So now that I didn’t have alcohol, and I was starting to wake up my journey led me to somatics and that is where my business Find Her Wild Coaching was born. I use tools incorporating both the mind, body and spirit to truly help women who feel unfulfilled become wildly, turned on by life again.

Alcohol was my thing, but the truth is we all have our thing that we reach for to make ourselves feel better. What if I could offer you tools to experience your life in a whole new way? What if you could finally feel love and joy from the inside out? How was your life transform if you didn’t just know you had a good life but you could feel it question? My programs help women get out of their heads, connect back to their passion, pleasure, and purpose in this life. These tools will impact every area, especially relationships.

Currently, I offer services in the format of one to one coaching, packages, group, coaching programs, speaking engagements, and my podcast Wake Up and Thrive. You can find me at instragram @bridgetcovill where all my links are posted.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The biggest qualities were radical responsibility over my experience, as well as radical compassion/acceptance over how I was showing up. Both of these qualities allowed me to remove the shame and actually understand yourself better. You can’t shame yourself into change.

The other area that has made a HUGE impact in my life is learning to work with my body, not just my mind. I utilize many modalities with my clients and in my own personal life on how to get out of my head. If you want to truly FEEL better, you have to get good at feeling which takes place in the body!!

My best advice for anyone getting started on your journey is to understand that you aren’t doing anything wrong. We develop patterns from childhood for a good reason. So, show yourself some compassion and acceptance as you start to get to know yourself better. You also will struggle to go on this journey alone. We will always have blindspots that we can’t see or aren’t aware of and this is why having a personal coach is so helpful.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am not only a speaker and trauma-informed relationship coach, but I am also a breathwork facilitator. I am looking for individuals that have teams or lead groups and retreats looking to help their teams/clients to truly uplevel and start to FEEL BETTER!

I take people through a 60-minute RESET experience. In this experience you will breakthrough emotional blocks and release self-doubt and fear that is holding you back. You will leave just one session feeling confident and clear on your next steps. I can collaborate and help you support your workplace and/or community through this transformational tool. These sessions can be delivered via virtual or in person and are an excellent value add to the work you are doing.
