Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Charlotte Hendrickx . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Charlotte, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I went to one of the best schools where I grew up. Discipline and work ethic were a key part of their education. As much as I didn’t enjoy going to school , I must give them the credit for teaching me how to get the work done and showing how hard work pays off. A necessary base as will often be shown later.
Of course I would never have ended up going to this school if it weren’t for the person who sent me there… my mom.
She absolutely believed in the school’s teaching philosophy. She had a fairly strict upbringing herself and later had to admit that this was indeed a better option , rather than the too gentle overprotective approach of some others.
If school taught me the theory of discipline and work ethic and everything it entails. My mom showed me what it looks like in daily-life and what the result can be. She has worked her butt off to achieve her goal but it worked ! And that has set the example for me. Stand steady and get the best out of yourself every single day on the way to achieving your goal. Focus and enjoy !

I’m a producer , actress, artist . My passion is to make what’s on the paper come to life.
Be in front of the camera or behind the scenes…. as long as creative minds come to live! Clients approach us with their script and we turn their story from words on a sheet of paper to a fully fleshed out project . We help clients develop their ideas from concept to finished project. One they can be proud of! We make a plan of action , put together a team , scoutt a location, collect props and equipment. Go for full process from casting to actual filming.
In other words, the Full Monty! It is incredibly fascinating to be able to travel along the creative paths of our clients. We have a fantastic team that has received this recognition on several occasions. One of our latest short films ‘Promises, Promises’, story by YunYi Zhu , has just been nominated at the Paladino d’oro Film Festival in Palermo Italy. Silver Wave Film Festival in Canada also selected us and we will be screened at the Big Apple Film Festival.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Resilience – Original – Humbleness
Things don’t always go the way you want or expect them to and when that happens you need to stay strong and have the resilience to get through it. The alternative would be ‘giving up’ and that should never be an option. Certainly not as far as I am concerned! Where there is a will , there is a way , but you have to keep fighting and keep going in order to get to your goal. Originality is what will set you apart from the rest. No matter what field or job you do. Somewhere else , someone else is trying to succeed at doing the same thing you are trying to succeed at.
So why should ‘you’ get the job and not anyone else ?
That’s precisely the question you need to find the anwer to. What differentiates you from the rest? Not an easy thing to do. It can even be incredibly hard , since it almost goes against our nature. You have to ‘reinvent the method’, but once you do , you’ll stand out and that’s what you do it for!
I’ve learned that even when you think you know (nearly) everything , there’s always something you don’t know yet, something new you can learn or improve. It’s important to have confidence and know what you’re capable of, but it’s equally important to stay humble enough to listen to your peers and believe that sometimes they might know better or have an improved perspective on things.
