Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Anna Vickers. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Anna, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I developed my confidence and self-esteem by always wanting more. I have always wanted to be better or bigger than where I currently am. I wanted to have the confidence to walk into a room full of strangers and so I do it and I grow each and every time I go outside the box.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am currently expanding my brand of just lashes into a much larger variety of cosmetics! I am planning on coming out with liquid concealers and setting powders along with the regular seasonal launches. I love creating new makeup that will be easy for anyone of any level can use!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1.Have an open mind to constructive criticism. I am human and I’ve made mistakes and sometimes I don’t see where I’ve wronged until someone points it out. 2.Always be willing to learn. That just because you’ve been in the business for 1 to even 20+ years you can still always learn something from anyone.
3.Be humble and never too boastful. I try to always stay humble even when I am doing really well one month, the next month could be awful.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
Jamie kern Lima. Her book “Believe it”. She was the owner and creator of IT cosmetics and I had the pleasure to get to see her live on stage this year. She’s so inspirational on how you can always do it if you let God help lead the way. She also teaches that you can stay true to yourself and not let the Big Corporations try to get you feeling helpless or that you’ll never make it. Also, that there will be lots of doors to close in your face but another one will always open when its right.
