Meet Laine Allen

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Laine Allen. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Laine below.

Hi Laine, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
Confidence and self-esteem aren’t superpowers that we’re born with, they’re more like skills we develop from our experiences with the world around us. Our self-worth can be impacted by the way people react to us, and sometimes we get the message that we’re “too much” or “too loud,” causing our light to flicker out. But here’s the thing: it’s never too late to rekindle that inner flame! By embracing all sides of our personality and not just the shiny ones, we can learn to light up a room with confidence and self-acceptance. As a kid, I got the message loud and clear: I was way ‘too emotional’ & ‘too tall’ for a girl. This toxic conditioning made me hide my true self and bury my strengths. But, seeing others boldly owning their quirks and sharing their stories, that gave me the permission slip I needed. I realized I didn’t need anyone’s permission to be me! So, I’m making it my mission to accept myself, exactly as I am in any given moment & it’s my hope that others find the courage to embrace their individuality too!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
We ladies spend a whopping 17 years trying to shrink ourselves into smaller sizes, all thanks to industries raking in billions from our insecurities. But while we’re seeing a push for more body diversity, we’re also seeing an extreme form of body positivity that insists we love ourselves & our bodies, all day, every day, no matter what. But that’s where things get tricky. When we do what we’re told & mutter affirmations in front of the mirror that we don’t believe, our bodies can sense the insincerity.

So, what can we do? We can reclaim the narrative & bring things back to the original goal of body acceptance, not forced adoration. & that’s where I come in, equipped with somatic healing & coaching techniques, on a mission to help women break free from diet culture & toxic body positivity. I’m on a big-ass mission to unleash women’s inner self-worth & help them embrace their beautiful bodies, no matter what.

How? Not only do I have private sessions with some amazing women who are actually ‘doing the work’ but also through my ‘4E Empowerment Pathways’: eating, exercise, environment, & emotions. These four pillars form the foundation of my nine-week transformative program, ‘A Woman’s Worth’, where women transmute into confident & unshakeable forces that’ll make generational change around the world.

And to help usher that change? I have a kickass podcast too! It’s called ‘Weight, There’s More!’ & it’s where we chuck out the rule book & delve into real, raw chats with amazing guests & women from all over the world. Sharing all the things on how to make a difference & be the change we ladies want to see.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Here are three life-changing nuggets of wisdom when it comes to accepting & embracing your body. Hold up, Listen up & Stand up!

Hold up! Our thoughts about our bods don’t always belong to us, thanks to the pressure-cooker society we live in. But no worries, just ask yourself, “Why do I feel this way?” or “Who’s cashing in on these toxic ideas?”

Listen up! It’s okay to have days where your body doesn’t feel like your BFF. Instead of nitpicking, appreciate your body for all it can do, and check if you’ve been getting enough water, food, and rest. Nine times out of ten, you’re not & that can impact your body feels.

Stand up! You don’t have to tolerate body-shaming chatter from anyone, whether it’s your social squad or your social media. Set healthy boundaries with family, friends and unfollow anyone who makes you feel lousy about yourself. This opens the door to finding more body-positive humans who celebrate diversity over cookie-cutter beauty.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
If you’re a fearless leader of bad-ass women, or if you community is all about giving diet culture and body negativity a swift kick to the curb, I’m your gal and I’m all ears for a collaboration. If you’re the host of an epic podcast that’s turning heads, or maybe you’ve got a clique that would love to hear me spill the tea? In-person or online, I’m ready to bring the heat and some serious insight. But wait, there’s more! Maybe you’re keen on a group EFT (tapping) session? Where I can take your crew on a journey of somatic healing in under an hour! Think of it like group therapy-meets-open-mic-night and trust me when I say it’s a hoot!
Together, we can create a welcoming little haven where every body type is welcome and celebrated.
