Meet Alex Cole

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Alex Cole. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Alex below.

Hi Alex, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
I’m an active person, I like to be “doing it” and “rocking my ropes” not waiting around to do it, that’s just my personality. I created good habits and consistency that go along with my Power Rock music. I wake up every morning and I immediately focus on what I can do to get me to the next level. To be able to survive my high energy shows I started jumping rope about three years ago to burn more fat, get lean and have fun. I can jump rope for 40 minutes, burn 500 calories and never think about anything else. It’s my form of meditation. Most people sit quietly to meditate, I jump rope and do body weight High Intensity Interval Training workouts. It’s kind of funny because I got a chance to meet the “Jump Rope Dudes” and their motto is “Do The Thing.” I could completely relate to that. I have been following these two awesome guys with their inspiring workouts on YouTube. And get this, the “Jump Rope Dudes” came to see my show at The Viper Room in Hollywood, and we became friends. They invited me to appear in their video by the Hollywood Sign (it can be found here on YouTube: https://youtu.be/jhaxXH7xelA ). I started to follow Dr. Berg videos in April 2018. I didn’t know anything about nutrition. I didn’t know I had a serious sugar issue. All I knew it was I needed sugar to stay active. I was craving sugar every hour. I started getting lean with High Intensity Interval Training, but still, I was eating 5 brownies per day and being grouchy, tired, lacking of memory, feeling weak most of the time and bloated. All I was thinking was I would need sugar as fuel. Nothing more wrong! I got very passionate following Dr. Berg lessons. The pleasant way he explain such difficult theories made me realize I had to start from zero with nutrition. I did. I stopped eating brownies gradually. From two a day, to zero. Now I feel great doing Keto and Intermittent Fasting. What I crave now is mostly vegetables, I feel active, positive and I good memory and energy, even if I’m not working out. As I mentioned in the beginning, I’m a Rocker and to be able to survive my high energy Rock’n’Roll show I do jump roping and body weight workouts. I feel good. I’m researching every day about nutrition. I’ve been helping others in obtaining their nutritional and sport performance goals. I’ve been receiving questions from fans and friends about my physical shape on a regular basis. Now days in the rock scene it’s a common thing for lot of musicians to have a “belly beer”. I increased my growth hormone, stamina and boosted my endorphins and dopamine. Here’s my body transformation: https://www.drberg.com/success-stories/hello-dr-berg-nice-to-meet-you-my-name-is-alex-cole-i-m-a-international-musician-i-compose-and-perform-power-retro-rock-music-that-reminds-people-of-great-bands-from-the-70-such-as-ac-dc-zz-top-whitesnake-etc-i-perform-with-a-three-piece-trio-in-the-. I had a residency playing at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas where I also had the honor to open for Anvil and right after that jumping on an amazing tour supporting Ted Nugent. I’m so inspired by the incredible energy released by those Heavy Metal and Rock’N’Roll veteran beasts they do in two-hours show night after night. Every night we want to give the best that we can for our crowds, being in good shape it’s a sort of discipline if you are on the road constantly. Making good habits is essential to continue being positive, inspiring and successful.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m a high-energy Rock Musician Composer who has made my mark on the Rock Music industry at an international level. I’m specialized in music composition, lead vocals, lead guitar and harmonica. I became a leader in the cutting-edge music genre known as “POWER-ROCK”. I’ve been told that I’m keeping Rock’N’Roll alive.

My music sounds new, but pleasantly familiar and will remind you of the classic rock bands such as AC/DC, Ted Nugent, George Thorogood, Deep Purple, Whitesnake and ZZ Top. My live show consists of Power Rock trio. In order to promote and establish my recording career, I performed in venues and Festivals in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Phoenix where I have received accolades as a Rock musician and composer.

After the successful tour as Direct Support for Ted Nugent on “The Music Made Me Do It Again 2019” through California and Arizona, one of my songs “Bad Boy Rocker” is featured in a movie called “Senior Moment” that features stars such as William Shatner and Christopher Lloyd, directed by Giorgio Serafini. I’m fortunate to have been a part of this amazing production with an incredibly talented cast and crew. We also shot a video clip of the song that you can watch at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYSqcuqBZ8o. I recently completed my upcoming album and I had my special guest Rocco Nugent who collaborated on one of my songs with me. His energy infused a touch of magic to the track. Rocco also made a guest appearance in the “Bad Boy Rocker” video. “Bad Boy Rocker” video won the “California Music Video & Film Awards” in the category “This Rocks!”.

Another song “Double Ace To Hell” was on the bonus “Behind the Scenes” section in the “Senior Moment” DVD.

I became a holistic practitioner specialized in the use of sound vibrations to promote psychophysical, muscular, spiritual and emotional well-being through the ussing of singing bowls and their ability to create harmony and well-being. I developed a deep love and a spiritual connection with ancient spiritual traditions.
My music is able to convey a sense of calm and tranquility, inviting the audience to immerse themselves in a journey of self-discovery and inner healing. With my therapy sessions with singing bowls, I help people to relax, restore energy balance and release accumulated stress.
My commitment to spreading awareness of the healing power of singing bowls has led me to exhibit in different parts of the world, collaborating with renowned artists and teachers of holistic disciplines.
Having lived in the United States for 8 years and learned all the techniques of this particular musical practice, my immersive performances and individual therapy sessions have received praise from critics and enthusiasts, who have recognized his unique gift for creating a atmosphere of inner peace.

Through my music and holistic practice, I’m dedicated to inspiring and transforming people’s lives, offering a unique experience of universal connection and healing through singing bowls. My mission is to share good power rock music and the beauty and harmony of these ancient instruments with the world, bringing serenity and healing to those who hear it.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say that patience, consistency and gratitude. I do my best to surround myself with positive, inspiring and successful people. I’m grateful that I performed and collaborated with some of the best bands in the world. One of my songs I wrote is called “Strong Enough To Survive”, it’s about the fight for success, how you have to stay focused to reach your goals, how others can push you down and pull you back. It’s about believing in yourself and knowing who you are. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something, let that dream grow in your heart and let the world know that you are ready to pursue it, as long as what you is done with absolute dedication, passion and love.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I have my own business, “Unleash The Beast Music Publishing.” All my music is registered with the Copyright Library of Congress and BMI. I started this company so I could keep control over my songs. This is important because this is the way composers can make money. Two years ago I signed a non-exclusive agreement with “Sprockets music Publishers”. I’m always looking for music publishers to connect with to add my music in their sync catalog for Film & TV.
