We were lucky to catch up with Ali Ayhan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ali, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
It was more like trying new things and evaluating what really suits me. It took a lot of effort and disappointment to be honest. But at the end, it is really worth it.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am Ali from Turkey. I am a teacher, translator, and content creator. I have been interested in history since childhood, so I decided to share my interests with others. Since I am a teacher already, I wanted to teach anyone interested in history, symbolism, flags, and other related topics. The best way to do it is through social media platforms. So I created accounts and started to design videos, posts, and other content in my free time after work. It grew rapidly, and now many people know about my work. I didn’t have such ambitions as growing and becoming famous; it just happened.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would probably say the desire to learn and teach. It is essential to be interested in the topic you deal with. Otherwise, it becomes overwhelming. In addition, being persistent is also a key factor. If you want to succeed at this, you must keep going despite not making progress for a while. If you genuinely put effort into it, you will get results.
Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
Time is a serious issue. As I have a full-time job, it is stressful to deal with all. I am doing it all by myself. I research, edit my videos and content, find new ideas, and post. Sometimes I only do something other than work for weeks. But the results are excellent. People learn and have fun. It feels nice.
