Meet Christina Terry

We were lucky to catch up with Christina Terry recently and have shared our conversation below.

Christina, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
My purpose came from an incessant need to help those around me. I’ve always had the spirit to help others find the best versions of themselves and to dive into their creative passions. In 2020 when the pandemic hit, there were so many people losing their corporate jobs but it was a renegade time for I saw these people start to lean into their creatives hobbies as a means to make money. I decided that with everything going on in the world, they deserved the BEST (and safest) showcase to tell their stories to consumers, have meaningful in person interactions and be surrounded with the like-minded support of other creatives.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

We now have the largest artisan market in Texas with expansion nationally soon. Vibe Artisan Markets has helped over 3,000 artists, makers and creatives by placing millions of dollars back into their hands each year. This in turn has helped the local economy as well as creating awareness around the need of supporting local.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Determination, passion and kindness.

Determination should come from the soul. You know what you want to accomplish and not letting anyone, including yourself, get in the way. Passion for your project is what is the driving power behind every idea. The reason most businesses are started is from a passion and a need for what they are producing or the idea that they have developed. Being kind is not just as simple as a hello and a smile. Kindness to your community, fellow entrepreneurs and everyone who pours even the littlest bit into you.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
The most help I have received in building this business comes from our artist family within Vibe Artisan Markets. We built this business to showcase THEM and they have been instrumental in helping to develop what they need, not what I want. Their visions are what make this company whole.
