Meet Dr. John Neal Jr.

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Dr. John Neal Jr.. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Dr. John , so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
I keep my creativity alive by respecting and understanding it is a gift that only a small amount of people are blessed with. I realize that creativity will allow me to express myself through different lenses. Therefore I must be accountable and bring my dreams to life. This gift also allows others to dream through knowing there is someone like them and they are not alone. As long as I am breathing I will always continue to water my own flower and roses and not rely on others to do so. When it comes to creativity, the energy that we draw from in order to enhance our gifts and ability has a boomerang and reciprocal affect. All artists feed off of each other and that is a gift that is priceless.

I founded John Neal Jr. Teaching & Consulting in 2018. This is a consultant company that focuses on organizational leadership and development, I decided to start this business because it was something I am extremely passionate about, helping people. The National Association of Honorable Black Fathers – Non Profit Organization

Discovering that a lot of men are in need of support in America and globally, I decided to address this issue head on. What do I mean? Well it is simple, if men are not supported emotionally and psychologically it affects the family unit. As a result of these behaviors and relationships the family unit usually dissolves. This happens more often in the black community. It is believed that nearly 78% of black households are fatherless. What does this mean exactly? Well it affects the mindset of the children, self-esteem, education, confidence and much more. These are a few reason we started our non-profit organization, The National Association of Honorable Black Fathers.

OUR MISSION -The National Association of Honorable Black Fathers aim is to create a safe space and forum in order to uplift our children, families and society. We realize that every action has a reaction, and accountability is a must.

Writer – Director- Producer

With 20 years of experience in film making it is definitely a passion of mine. I enjoy all aspects of the process, writing, character development, storyboards, casting, directing and editing. Realizing there are more steps to the process you probably get the idea. I am fortunate to work with my adopted big brother Grammy award winner and record producer Andrew Lane. Going to his recording studio and watching him work is amazing to say the least. He is currently working on a TV pilot with my daughter and me, “Simply Ayla.” This is a show that the world needs, this comedy is adventurous, heartfelt and inclusive. It should be one for the ages. People are excited about it. Speaking of Ayla the name might sound a bit familiar. Well Ayla Rae Neal is an actor, who starred in “LOL Surprise The Movie” and much more. She is also a singer and song writer who has taken voice lessons from the number one voice coach in the world Cheryl Porter. Adventures of Little Johnny Children’s Books – John Neal Jr Teaching & Consulting LLC

As a child I was often open to adventures and life thus far has shown just that. I live my life by way of inspiration. It is the most important thing in the world. When I lost my late mother it was a challenge for me to get through the days. As her son I wanted to honor her name and did so by writing six children’s books, “THE ADVENTURES OF LITTLE JOHNNY.” You can find these books on Amazon Kindle.

University of Inspire – John Neal Jr. Teaching & Consulting

I founded a communications program that will help individuals understand how to learn public speaking and person to person relationships. This is what I taught at the college and university level for 6 years. The University of Inspire is a communications training program that offers a variety of courses that are practical and applicable in everyday life. We focus on helping our students understand themselves from a personal and professional perspective. This is a platform like no other, Dr. John Neal Jr. and staff are using principles that have been proven over the last decade at all levels of education and real life. There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The first quality of knowledge is being opened minded. I chose this because I realize in my journey I had to be able to adjust my thinking if I didn’t have all of the information. What I mean by this is that most people go into life with thinking it is going to be easy; however that is furthest from the truth. I began to discover that my concept and perspective was a small part of my journey. Secondly, research, it is very important to research anything that you have a desire for. The reason research is important is because you can learn about the past, apply it to the present and then apply it to the future. There is a saying, learn from other people’s mistakes. Last but not least the third quality of knowledge I believe is having a positive attitude. If you are having a challenging day and you cannot seem to move forward in your goals, your attitude will determine how long it takes to get out of this funk. You will always have challenges when trying to accomplish something hard in this life, sometimes you don’t have a person to talk to because they won’t fully understand your journey. Therefore, your attitude helps you process the challenges you are faced with and you are able to determine what decisions that need to be made in order to move you forward. Having a good attitude can often be the determining factor between failure and success.

If you are early on in your journey, remember you will be faced with obstacles and challenges, but this just means you are on the right track. Hard work pays off but the process should be enjoyed. Good luck on your journey, stay inspired!
