We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Giovanni Gonzalez a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Giovanni , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I can’t say I am a resilient person, who has a super power that other people do not have. I certainly did not go to the Himalayas to connect with my purpose or had a life altering event that gave me the kind of resilience necessary to overcome all the usual obstacles.
However, I do have a life journey that helped me develop my resilience. I do find myself constantly inspired by people’s life stories. When I was 4 years old, I was inspired by the movie Rocky and I believed his story. I wanted to believe that those of us who wanted something bad enough and are willing to surrender to one’s goals, the miracles will be revealed.
When I was 15 years old, I read the book, the alchemist. In this short story, Paulo Coelho describes beautifully the power that gets unleashed when a person makes the effort to travel inward. As the saying goes, “an unexamined life is not worth living.”
Just like those anecdotes, everyone’s life is full of signs that can empower them to surrender to those things that they are passionate about. Those that surrender get to enjoy the kind of life that no amount of money can buy.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a life & leadership strategist and I work with entrepreneurs and companies training and developing leadership teams on how to understand the brain and communicate more effectively while developing new skills to create high performing teams around them.
I love what we do because the heart of any organization is the people that make up their teams and when the leadership teams are aligned not only on their goals but also on a similar language to communicate the values of the company, miracles happen on demand.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I believe that no one is too early in their journey, the same way I don’t like seeing myself as an experienced business consultant.
A new person in a particular industry has the advantage of bringing to the table the kind of innovative ideas that could create a massive explosion for that business or that industry.
At the same time, an experienced business consultant like me can prevent massive mistakes that can bring a young person to bankruptcy.
So, for me one is not better than the other one. My superpower or developed skill is to listen for alignment between leadership teams while creating a space for people to share anything that they could be withholding. If I can do that, then I know that magic is in the air.
People who can be free to share their ideas and free to listen to other people’s ideas tend to bring progress for everyone involved.
All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
I think I have very similar challenges that everybody else could be facing.
We want our mission to be worldwide and we need to train people to deliver our programs.
With our marketing efforts, we are constantly working on being seen as experts in our field and continually growing our pipeline. At the same time, we are experts in our field. Therefore, we are always looking for consultants in transformational leadership to partner with us and join us in our quest to create a new paradigm for being, for human beings, and the expression of leadership in the world.
