Meet Kathryn Bojchuk

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kathryn Bojchuk. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kathryn below.

Kathryn, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?
I keep my creativity alive by continuing to be in amazement and wonderment about the world. I seek out new experiences constantly and have always treated life as my greatest teacher. Becoming a student of life has put me into a position of growing, learning, & expanding. All of which help increase my creativity since I’m always open to new ideas, lessons, people, places, experiences, etc.

I also make sure to find balance in my life between my yang & yin energies (the doing & being). When I fall into more of a yang hustle mode. my creativity lacks because my self-care normally lacks during the hustle phases in my life. When I can tap into my yin energy (rest, self-care, nurturing, downtime)- my creativity skyrockets. This is because creativity cannot always be forced in hustle mode & instead it has to be felt from within. When I let go & surrender into a yin mode- I am more open to receiving those creative intuitive hits.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I own a wellness business that empowers individuals to lead a more balanced and peaceful life. I accomplish this through my teachings of yoga, meditation, breathwork, and intensive mindset courses. I recently launched a 1-month mindset transformation online course that takes my clients from feeling stuck and out of alignment to stepping into their highest version of self and living out their greatest dreams. The next round of KATALI’s mindset transformation online course will launch mid-end of 2023! I’m thrilled to bring peace of mind and healing to a greater clientele base.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think the three qualities that are still the most imperative on my entrepreneurship journey are resiliency, commitment, and confidence. Resiliency being the ability to bounce back from challenges and never giving up. Commitment being an unwavering dedication to your vision and moving the needle forward 1 % each day. And lastly, confidence being the self-assurance and conviction around your vision, not letting others sway you from your path. Resiliency, commitment, and confidence are all skills and can therefore be learned and refined. The best way to hone these skills is to identify yourself as someone who already embodies these skills. Stepping into the version of yourself who owns these skills brings them into your reality quicker.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
I deal with overwhelm quite frequently and have learned that it’s part of the entrepreneur journey. Identifying and accepting the feeling of overwhelm helps greatly. But what has helped me the most is to remove myself completely from what’s bringing me overwhelm by taking a break. It could be as simple as taking a 10 minute walk outside to clear my head or taking a yoga class, getting a massage, meditating, chatting with a loved one, or just napping. Anything that turns my brain off has been incredibly helpful in decreasing overwhelm as overwhelm is usually a situational emotion. It doesn’t last forever- so stopping it in its tracks before it sucks you in too deep is my best advice.
