Meet Brooke Santos

We recently connected with Brooke Santos and have shared our conversation below.

Brooke, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I have had a fabulous career in retail for over three decades, working with Target, Tiffany & Co, Ann inc and Macy’s. During that time I met and worked with amazing women of all ages and backgrounds. When I decided to start my own consulting company, I Speak Boutique, I wanted to keep a focus on helping women in business. I am fortunate that I have had three decades to work in retail and develop women’s knowledge and experiences so they can continue to grow and thrive in their businesses.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I Speak Boutique was created to help women who have a product based, or service based business. Our goal is to help you past your obstacles and whatever is holding you back, so you can get your business growing and thriving!

If you’re looking to hire, or need help getting your current team to be more productive- I can help! There is not a human resource situation I have not been faced with before.

If you are struggling with too much inventory, or you need to make more money- I can help! There’s many ways to course-correct these situations!

Did you make a wrong decision of where you signed a lease and you’re struggling to make enough money? I can help!

I created I Speak Boutique to help women in business; let’s talk and get your business growing and thriving!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Learning from others is the #1 way to move past learning curves and obstacles without spending a lot of money on costly mistakes!

Understanding the changes and shifts in the market to make sure that we are ahead of the trends and never falling behind the economy.

Understanding that everyone learns at a different pace and that telling the team is never as good as telling the team, showing the team, modeling the behavior and then doing it again and again.

Helping business owners develop those three skills is one way we help her grow and develop her business.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
I wrote the book, I Speak Boutique Run Your business like a boss babe; available on Amazon.

After working with hundreds and hundreds of business owners over the past 6 years, I realized there was a need for the book I wrote.

Every business owner knows a certain amount about business and they are able to start their business and get it going. But there comes a time when she runs out of ideas, or gets frustrated at a re-occurring problem. The book helps you see those issues and overcome those issues with proven best practices and real-life examples.
