Hi Tara Montana known as , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I always knew God had a vision over my life because I talk and ask so many questions I really never knew it would be this tho Interviewing black entrepreneurs, hosting events, being in rooms I’m not technically not qualified for. I know so many black entrepreneurs but “Mic’d Up With Monty “ didn’t take off fully until I moved to Philly 3 years ago and saw so many people that look like me, my age that are actually running businesses and doing an amazing job during the pandemic! I walked into Juice by B and was so shocked by the customer service, the aesthetics, the fresh juice and detox drinks I asked who is the owner and Bria was making my detox and said me is everything okay I told her name and asked can I interview her she told me come back tomorrow and literally me my iPhone and a tri pod came back to do a interview on her I asked her every question from mental health to running a business to why Philly! From that interview 3 years ago i haven’t stopped! I’m the brand ambassador for StockedUp I do my creative content work out of the most booked studio in Philadelphia Immortal Vision all because I stepped out on faith I just want to Thank you Bria if you’re in the Philadelphia area make sure you stop by Juice by B. I love what I do the networking, pop ups, conferences are just a breathe of fresh air. I always leave with connections more confidence and confirmation this is Gods will in my life. I really just want to show my nephews and niece in Cyns belly that there are my motivation. Dawn & Neezy are who I do it for, with the support of my brother Antman and my beautiful tribe Louie, 2fly wow the list goes on.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would honestly say the 3 things that have kept me on this journey is Jesus, being uncomfortable, and being able to listen,

I always believe that without Jesus Christ none of this would be possible.

I never want to be comfortable because that’s is when you start to settle! Being uncomfortable is when God is trusting, and testing you to see if you gonna believe he got you for the next chapter or if you wanna stay at the level your at forever

Being able to listen will get you into rooms and places you may not qualify for. You may want to do it your way but sometimes God wants to bring people into your life to show you things or even to level you up but if you don’t listen how will you know!

Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
The challenge I’m currently facing is feeling like I’m doing enough. Whenever I feel like I’m sitting down too long in my work bag I feel like I’m letting down my supporters. When I’m in my element hosting or at pop ups I feel like it’s a taste of heaven. The energy I bring to the room there is nothing like it. In a perfect world I just want to have a segment on the news station interviewing black entrepreneurs businesses around the city.
It’s so many entrepreneurs I know locally that I know the world would love
