Meet Adina Kajoy

We were lucky to catch up with Adina Kajoy recently and have shared our conversation below.

Adina, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Interesting enough I believe there are 2 parts to self confidence that allows you to have unstoppable self confidence! I realized even though I was able to project being self confident to the world, I still questioned myself, my worth, and abilities! As a young girl I tapped into my talents early, which was dancing and doing hair! My family highly influenced my talents and supported them, due to being Jamaican natives, with a love for music and dancing in combination with some of the women being hairstylist. So I thrived in my talents and lived them out throughout my entire life, no one or thing would make me question those abilities, and my passion for them ran so deep! As an adult, I realized though I had confidence in my talents, If you took them away, I didn’t have confidence within myself! I often doubted myself, my worth, and was in constant validation from the people I cared about the most! What they saw in my was clearly NOT what I was able to see in myself. In 2021, while going through my divorce, I decided to enroll in Sacred Woman, a program created to heal the feminine mind, body, and soul through ancient holistic African life style! During one my sessions, I realIzed having self confidence in myself was truly a choice!!! Was I going to continue to allow the negative thought pattern of “Am I good enough, and Am I worthy” to continue to have authority over my life, and in that moment I made the decision! God had given me all the signs and validation of my worth. It was now a matter of making the choice for myself! During that time as a woman going through a divorce, I had every reason to doubt and question myself, however God continued to place, people and projects in my life to remind me of my greatness! I was grateful to be an observer of my life where I was able to make one of the most life changing decisions of my life!!!

From that moment it was so important to help women build their self confidence beyond their beauty! Really understanding the definition of self confidence and the steps to build it helped support my decision and it completed my self confidence allowing me to operate in UNSTOPPABLE SELF-CONFIDENCE!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
An important quality I have always had was adapting healthy mindsets! I now realize, I didn’t really understand all the different mindsets I acquired, I summed them all up under being positive or negative! Now that I know better some of the other mindsets I had, besides the positive mindset, that helped me improve in all areas of life was the abundance mindset, the mindful mindset, the challenge mindset, and the entrepreneurial mindset! Having these mindsets supported me in building my confidence. They allowed me to act as a leader, be aware of my surroundings, while believing there was always enough for me, which helped me overcome all challenges!

As a young girl I was aware of my talents, and the best thing I could have done was stayed focused on them and acted on them as much as I could! Believing that I was great dancer and and could do hair very well, and sticking to those things allowed my confidence in my skillsets to grow! Seeing how I was able to positively impact others and create magic gave me reassurance and ultimately lead me to new skillsets I didn’t know I was capable of doing! I like to say, your talents will make way for you, so even when I didn’t believe in myself, believing in my talents was enough to make me a business owner allowing me to create an income to take care of my family while LOVING EVERY BIT of it!

I always marched to my own drum, even though I can see different times when I was highly influenced by others and society! At the end of the day, I would make the decision to do what I wanted to do and what felt right. I always wanted to know, why I was the way I was, and what was my purpose. Those questions ultimately lead me to self discovery and self development. As an observant child, raised in a family were, my differences out weighed the similarities, it pushed me on the journey of discovering, who My Creator/Creatress intended me to be! It was not easy at all, I was like a good black sheep and disconnecting from everything that I knew, would allow me to find myself, my purpose and to walk in it, with authority and power! Self development helped me, create a healthier relationship with myself increasing Self Love and self alignment.

My advice would be to follow that voice inside of you!!! It’s your intuition and it was ment to guide you!! It was created just for you, which means everyone else may not understand why you do what you do, however if it’s not causing you harm, others harm, and brings you joy and peace, DO IT, and do it proudly!!! The biggest mistakes or lessons I’ve learned came from ignoring my intuition and doing what felt good even when the voice inside me told me it wasn’t good for me!! The truth was I didn’t Love myself enough!!! Love YOURSELF, all of you, the good, bad, the ugly, from the top of your head all the way down to your toes!!! Love you!!!! Loving you, helps you recognize those who may not love you, or themselves, and will help you create healthy boundaries, that will protect you on your journey! When you don’t love yourself you allow unhealthy relationships with others, to take you off your path, create insecurities, and before you know it, you won’t even recognize yourself and your life!

To parents, love on your children with all their differences and difficulties, often times they aren’t difficult, you are just stuck in your way of how they should be! Remember they have a soul inside of them, condition them to love themselves and listen to the voice inside of them, your job is not to create replicas of yourself however to guide them in finding themselves, their truth, and their purpose, so they can become powerful beings!! How you raise your children today impacts the the leaders they will become or not become in your life!!!

How would you describe your ideal client?
I have 2 ideal clients! My first ideal client are the powerful women that are busy taking care of everyone and everything and need a space to take their capes off and get their cups filled! Often time they are women who are mistaken for having it all together however still lack self confidence and or a healthy relationships with themselves!

My 2nd ideal clients are the women who lack confidence and power and ready to build it! They may aspire to be fashion models or aspire to learn to walk in confidence and with authority in all areas of life!

They either have the following characteristics or want to build these characteristics: ambitious, integrity, unstoppable confidence, optimistic, persistent, creativity, resilient, joyful, empathetic, healthy mindsets, self grace, self love, healthy self relationship
