Meet Andrea Matteucci

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Andrea Matteucci. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Andrea, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
Resilience can be part of your personality or can be something you see in other people and you try to absorb it. Personally I learned a lot from my father and brother and I also had some amazing mentors since I moved here in Texas. If you want it you can make it happen.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I moved to Texas from Italy eight years ago with my wife and two kids. Me and my wife are both architects and we also love Italian cuisine and wines. We opened an Italian restaurant, Loveria Caffe in Colleyville.
We decided to open a small neighborhood restaurant bringing here a bit of Italy. Passion for our job is what each day helps us opening our doors.
We love welcoming our guests, sampling our amazing wines from Italy and together with our great team we want everyone feeling like in an Italian trattoria.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Passion, resilience and resolution and being multitasking helped me in my journey. Being always open mind and thinking that there’s always something to learn from the others.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My wife and my brother have made me a better person I am.
