Meet Nisha D

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Nisha D a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Nisha , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I can honestly say I have been through so many things in my life that could have destroyed me or torn me down. However, I try not to allow those things to define me. Once I started building a relationship with God I was able to persevere through a lot of life’s troubles much better. I used to be the person that would get upset or just be angry but I learned grace & mercy from the Lord. I now look to God for my answers, I believe that God will make all things anew and I just live with peace in my heart that everything will be ok according to Gods word!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m a master hair colorist at heart. I’ve been licensed for 19 years. That is truly my passion but more so helping women see their beauty within themselves!! I LOVE how I’m able to transform a woman’s entire look and it gives her so much confidence, so much strength, so much more power that she’s able to see her true beauty.

Along with my passion for helping there comes the education piece. I always want to explain why something is the way it is. I believe each one teach one…why not share with you something you may not know. Something that may help get your mind going. I have been educating as a platform artist for 10 years now and I absolutely LOVE the ah ha moment!! I can literally see it once the dots connect!

Next, I have a podcast I’m getting ready to start as well as writing a book. The podcast will be geared towards consumers not really beauty professionals but you guys are more than welcome to tune in because you never know what tips/tricks you can pick up on. Both are in the beginning phases but stay on the lookout because it’s literally right around the corner!!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
*Staying true to myself-Keep the faith *Learning all that I could to perfect my skill
*Not allowing money to rule my decisions

There will be a lot of distractions that cause you fall or fail. You have to remain true to your vision and don’t waver. You will have people able and willing to pay you to do things that will go against every moral you have. If you’re hard pressed for money…you will fall prey to the enemy. Money is the root of all evil and believe me when you realize all money ain’t good money. The better off you will be!

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
I have to definitely give all accolades to Mr Patric Bradley!! God placed Patric in my life about 10 yrs ago and he has been THE BEST mentor, advice giver, goal pusher, uncle (I call him Uncle P 🤣🤣🤣) He probably has NO idea the impact he has had on my life but when I tell you someone who sees the potential in me and keeps pushing me no matter what push back I give him. He gives so freely and just being around him and his team of educators it give me so much confidence, comfort in knowing they have my back and love!!!

Thank you Patric & Team Hollywood 😎
