Meet Kaan Peksen

We were lucky to catch up with Kaan Peksen recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaan, so happy to have you with us today and there is so much we want to ask you about. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others developed certain skills or qualities that we are struggling with can be helpful. Along those lines, we’d love to hear from you about how you developed your ability to take risk?
My ability to take risk comes from the fact that if I do not, I will not become an entrepreneur which was my dream since I was in High School. Creating a company is taking a risk. I was always a risk taker because you want to accomplish something or anything in this life, you need to take risk. if you do not take risk, you will stay where you are but if you take risk, you may fail but if you find success. It is the best feeling in the world. That was my thought process behind taking a risk and creating my own firm at the first place.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I feel most excited about being able to design creative and innovative clothes that people will wear and they will be comfortable and content with their purchasing decisions. Our brand is streetwear style with a very soft fabric and comfortable feeling. It is made from the of the best cotton in the world. All the clothes are designed in California and manufactured in Turkey.. Next year, we are producing wide variety of clothes with new colors and designs..We will soon expand more countries such as Canada, UK.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Most important skillset is communication. Effective communication is key when you are managing your own company.. Area of knowledge is textile. One of the key components of commerce is you need to know everything about the business top to bottom. Deep knowledge in different kinds of fabrics and type of fits and how it is produced is crucial for success of your clothing brand. Furthermore, most important quality is being trustworthy. When you are trustworthy and you have a good reputation. If it is very easy to conduct business and people will trust you. Mutual trust is key in business.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
Ideal client is a long-term consumer which buys our product and they are satisfied with our products then they keep buying our products every new collection. It is very important to have a customer base that is stable. In other words, permanent customer is the best kind of customer for us. Their shopping experience should turn into an habit.
