Meet Jason LaPierre

We were lucky to catch up with Jason LaPierre recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jason, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I’m a believer that “true purpose” starts to appear at an early age, and it’s our job to sit and mediate on what that is. For me, I have always been fascinated by sounds, which has led me into the path of being a musician. We grow and develop as we get older, but I believe our soul remains the same as long as your preserve it.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
After obsessively studying music and performing with different groups from the ages of 14-25, I began recording and releasing music under my own name having no clue what it would lead to. Now I have developed a global fanbase that I adore and I could not see my life any differently. I have been releasing singles and collaborating with some of my favorite artists across the world, but currently I am working on recording my debut album which will be released in 2024.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would say creativity, eagerness to learn, and authenticity.

My advice would be to follow any creative visions you have no matter how silly they may seem. This will allow your subconscious mind to continuously feed you new ideas. Stay true to yourself and invest time daily into learning about what interests you the most no matter how busy you think you are.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
Take deep breathes, separate myself from modern technology, go for nature walks in silence, write down my thoughts on pen and paper, and talk to friends. I think all of these are extremely valuable tools and I would recommend all of these!
