Gambino , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Time, the reason it’s so easy for me to bounce back, not give up or figure it out is all from time bcus I’ve been through it plenty of times before in my past which means I always tell myself I can do it again.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Well, first and foremost I’m a growing A&R, brand manager in Atlanta, Ga that’s been finding talent since I was stepped into the game.
I find my talent through mainly my events that I plan all over the states which I use to connect other dope talent with other dope talent.
Somebody called me “The Internet” the other day because i make some many connections that I might not even know came from my platform or resources from just knowing me.
It’s always exciting finding the talent first bcus it’s not about rushing them to sign to me or any of that it’s purely supporting them until their dreams come true. Like watch out for Flippa T, Woo Da Savage, Spook, Corey St Rose, MaiaDaPlug, Baby Low and more their well on their way.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Communication because simply opening your mouth can handle situations good or bad to get a better understanding on how to fix things instead of making em worst
2. Patience which should be first because BOY!!!! That word alone can help you go far.
3. Not Expecting things.. this world I work in NOTHING is expected and you can’t get your hopes up thinking a outcome will be just how you want it to be bcus it’s always gonna be something outside of your control that can happen that can effect you and others. Just stay focus and never down yourself for things you can’t control just find a way to control it better and what happens happens
Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
My biggest challenge im facing currently is really finding legit and solid people to trust and work with. Everybody say they can do this and can do that but nobody really “THEM” fr. And the people who are they already got their team or what they do so their to busy to really help me on the things I might need. Like I’ve been trying to find somebody who can secure sponsorship deals for the longest but nobody can ever do it.
Also just paying people and then it’s always SOMETHING to why what I paid for ain’t it. Lol it’s different now everybody want money but don’t really give what they want people to pay them for so it’s just be crazy trying to quote on quote be for the underdogs when people really just don’t be serious fr.
