Meet fahad alhumaid

We recently connected with Fahad Alhumaid and have shared our conversation below.

Fahad, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
For many years I had bad things happen to me, and it got me saying to myself why me? But I always found that when bad things happen in my life; things have a way of working out and that the Universe had my back. But during the pandemic lockdown I was in isolation alone in my house, which allowed me to do a lot of thinking and soul searching. I started to meditate and become more spiritual; this led to a huge realization that changed my life. I realized that what I thought was important in my life was not really that relevant and changed my priorities. Being negative always brings negative things. As a result, I decided to re-evaluate everything in my life. Now confirming that the universe has my back I started to let go of my control over everything. With this knowledge I became more and more optimistic; always keeping a positive outlook.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My first passion is art and being creative; I’ve been making art for over twenty years. I stopped painting for a few years because I was working on my company to the point, I started to get tired of that. A a of my spiritual awakening during lockdown I was inspired to get back to painting; I am glad I did because I managed to make a lot of artworks that now I am selling in markets, and some are in an art gallery in Los Angeles. My ultimate goal besides selling my art, is to open an indigenous art gallery in Los Angeles that supports the arts and crafts of indigenous peoples from around the world. I always loved collecting indigenous art, but I got the inspiration for this gallery when I was on a trip with national Geographic expeditions in 20219 to the Mayan ruins in Guatemala and Mexico. I saw the indigenous people selling their art on the dirt roads leading to the sites, and I didn’t like that. I am working on having it open and running by the middle of 2024.
My second passion is film, on a trip to Los Angeles in 2019 I was introduced to film maker & director Steve Balderson who was looking for an investor for his full feature film “Alchemy of the Spirit”; which I accepted enthusiastically. This was finally my way in into the film industry. I am glad I did because the film won 21+ international awards, and now streaming on a couple of streaming services, and Steve and I became very good friends. Furthermore, I made limited series after that, which we developed during lockdown over zoom. He asked me to play a lead role in it, and I did (that was the beginning of my acting career). I just finished filming third project with Steve (a second full feature film for me). I am planning many more film and Television projects in the future,
My company works in all creative fields, and our goal is to support new talents everywhere. The company will also sponsor a travel show related to the art gallery.
I will always look for new creative endeavors to take on; which make my life more exciting

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
my three qualities are: persistence, resilience and optimism my advice is not let bad things stop you and break you; you need to get back up, dust yourself and learn from them. Don’t complain, set your goals and work hard to achieve them.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am always looking for creative people to collaborate with; whether in art, film or music. Things get a lot more interesting when we share our knowledge and expertise. I am also looking for people to support my indigenous art gallery; from different communities, businesspeople, philanthropists, corporations…etc. Every little support gives more help to many indigenous communities worldwide.
