Meet Danna Lee

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Danna Lee. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Danna, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I used a few steps:

1. Building positive relationships, both professional and personal
2. Building my mindset to focus on the positives of any situation versus looking at the negative
3. Challenge yourself. Setting goals that require me to step outside of my comfort zone
4. Start the day with self-affirmations.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Most exciting part of being a designer is being able to express creativity daily, work with fascinating clients, and transform lifeless spaces. Interior design also enables flexible schedules and good earning potential especially when owning an interior design firm.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
1. Time Management 2. Empathy
3. Strong work ethic

My advice would be to give yourself grace. Take your time, focus on the journey and not how fast to get to the goal

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
