Meet Haley Brown

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Haley Brown a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Haley, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
Growing up, I was always the playful one in the room. I yearned for smiles and joy when it was not present. My optimism has impacted my personality throughout my life. In school, I would be unaware of the smile on my face sitting at my desk until someone would ask me why I was smiling. I couldn’t provide an answer simply because there was not a specific reason why I was happy. It was an abundance of things. Many of my peers did not like my enthusiastic and outgoing energy, but I never changed. In my adulthood, I find myself fortunate to feel optimistic every day. I am filled with bliss each morning, discovering the sun shining and embracing the possibilities of what the day will bring. The fulfillment I possess in my life is my optimism’s origin. My optimism and values fuel my work ethic to reach my goals, so I am proud of where I am from my efforts.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a full-time marketer and part-time fashion blogger. I plan to become a full-time blogger and utilize my creativity in ways that will inspire others. I am continuing to grow in my marketing career as I recently accepted a new position. I plan to also freelance and help local businesses use marketing to show how a service or product can provide value to their day-to-day operations. I understand the excitement of getting hooked on a new product or lifestyle. By creating meaningful content, a company can showcase why a product is worthy of entering a person’s life.

I focus on developing my skills further and understanding ways to build my personal and professional career by accepting new opportunities. I help reach families one flyer, Instagram post, and Google Ad at a time.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that have continuously impacted my success are my creativity, attention to detail, and marketing knowledge. These skills are crucial to conveying a cohesive message across my brand by influencing my ideas and knowing how to share those ideas with a greater audience. My creativity allows me to use elements of nature, color schemes, and fabrics to develop a concept. My attention to detail guarantees unity across my accounts and promotes a well-known aesthetic to my brand. Lastly, my background in marketing has assisted in consistently evolving my strategies for growth and brand awareness.

For those striving for similar success, focus on the quality of what you’re producing. I see many creators care for the size of their audience versus the quality of what they are providing. Craftsmanship is a timeless skill that will set you apart and help you stand out in a crowded sea of creators.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
I consistently face imposter syndrome during my social journey. I have endured many personal challenges, and when taking a break is a part of that, jumping back into the social world comes with challenges. I fear what I may share at home or work may be dull. Do you enjoy watching someone sit on the couch and watch television for three hours? Probably not. However, an individual’s day-to-day can be redundant versus sharing content more valuable. I compare myself to creators with beautifully crafted content and wonder how I compare.

Tangibility is only accessible if I can persevere through fear and meet my goals through the content I can be proud of. Setting reachable expectations is better than trying to shine in the same light as someone else.
