Carmen , thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
My clients inspire me to keep my creativity alive I have the most gorgeous clients I also continue with education by taking classes attending seminars which allows me to stay focus and extra creative by keeping up with new trends…
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a hairdresser I specialize in color correction mainly blondes but not limited to my brunettes since I’m a brunette myself I also do hair treatments, extensions ,haircuts…
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would advise them to make sure they love what they do , been a hairdresser is not just coloring people’s hair or cut it involves customer service, always make sure to listen to clients, they are very knowledgeable, keep up with the beauty industry, never stop learning…be kind!!
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
I try to understand the cituation when I feel overwhelmed, listening is the key , specially when it comes to a client we are humans and life can be harder or More difficult for others…
