Hi Krish, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Choosing to become a filmmaker is a deeply personal and multifaceted decision for me, influenced by multiple factors. One primary motivator might be the love for storytelling, as filmmaking provides a unique and powerful platform for expressing creativity and narrative. The ability to craft compelling stories through the marriage of visuals, sound, and emotion is a driving force for me.
Upon that graduating from 2 renowned film schools around the world and working on multiple shows and film projects has been a massive growth for me at a very early stage in my career.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am thrilled to announce that I have started a video production company based in Los Angeles named Blue Volt Studios with my lovely friend Valerie Jones. We are a one stop shop for all production needs, and we specialize in short films, music videos, commercials and visual effects. Our goal is to expand and become a powerhouse production company, by continuously growing our team and scale of our projects. We have been blessed with having creatives/companies trust us with bringing their vision to life, and as we continue to go above and beyond their expectations, I have no doubt that Blue Volt Studios will become a household name.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
In looking back,
1) Resilience – Never giving up despite obstacles.
2) Creative – Thinking outside the box, helped me bring fresh ideas to my work.
3) Teamwork – Working together with others, combining different skills, was key to achieving my goals.
For other folks just starting out I would suggest to never back down from an any kind of challenge, the difficult the road the better is the reward in the end!
