Meet Keanna Jones

We were lucky to catch up with Keanna Jones recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Keanna, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I developed my confidence by taking time to understand my strengths and weaknesses, having faith and trust in my capabilities, and continuously learning about myself. Recognizing when I’m uncomfortable in a certain situation and pushing towards my goals has been crucial. Believing in God and myself, appreciating limitations, challenging myself, and visualizing a confident version of myself have all played a part. To build self-esteem, I focus on what makes me happy and my values, challenge unkind thoughts, speak positively to myself, and set boundaries. Avoiding comparisons on social media and remembering I’m on my own journey, not society’s timeline, has been important. Additionally, I do nice things for myself and remind myself that failure isn’t permanent unless I quit.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I currently work a 9 to 5 as an HR Administrative Assistant while transitioning to a Logistics Coordinator position. This job sustains my financial goals, supporting my dreams and passions. As the Founder and CEO of SupportHER non-profit, our mission is to empower women by providing resources, opportunities and mentorship. In 2024, we’re launching a membership and Mentor/Mentee program. Simultaneously, I work part-time as a Public Relations Specialist for VIVIDRICH HQ film and Production Studio, contributing to a fantastic work environment and gaining valuable career development. Beyond PR, I love working on set as a Production Manager or Assistant. My overall goal is to one day become a film producer. Exciting times ahead!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would say resilience, adaptability, and effective communication are the three most important qualities to develop. These traits can navigate challenges, foster growth, and build strong connections.

What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?
Absolutely, setting clear goals and having accountability partners are essential strategies. By leveraging my strengths and investing in areas of improvement, I can achieve excellence in my current abilities while ensuring continuous growth and a well-rounded skill set.
