Meet The Fisher Girls

We were lucky to catch up with The Fisher Girls recently and have shared our conversation below.

The Fisher Girls, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

We get our work ethic from our father. He worked several jobs to provide for us and he loved it! He was a go getter and by watching him we too became go getters.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

We are Alma and Raquel Fisher AKA the Fisher Girls. We are a gospel-duo who are blood sisters. We have been singing since we were children and have always wanted to become professional singers. Our style of music is more of a contemporary sound with laces of jazz and blues.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities: flexibility, accepting the creative style that God gave us as songwriters and singers, and staying true to our identity without compromising. These three qualities have helped us to embark on this journey with a steady pace!

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

Introduce us to God and encourage us to have our own relationship with Jesus Christ. It was not pushed on us. We were able to make our own decision in serving God for ourselves.
