Hi Justine, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Navigating on the profound journey of discovering our true purpose is an ongoing and beautiful exploration. In my experience, this revelation dawned when Lupus altered the course of my life in 2020. Stripped of mobility and faced with medical appointments, I felt like an 80-year-old in a 23-year-old body. This pivotal moment prompted a radical shift — adopting a vegan, plant-based lifestyle and embarking on a holistic journey. In this transformative process, I recognized that my purpose transcends mere entertainment or entrepreneurship. It’s a divine calling to be a living testament, a vessel of light showcasing resilience and the boundless possibilities rooted in determination, faith, and persistence. While a diagnosis may initially seem tragic, it’s a stepping stone to a higher purpose. Now, extending beyond the stage and offering activewear, I’m using dancing and entrepreneurship as powerful tools to share valuable insights on health and wellness through my journey and purpose, all guided by my faith.

Hello, wonderful readers! I’m Justine Parker, the passionate founder of JusRédor Collection. Beyond being a sustainable bamboo athleisure brand, JusRédor is a movement dedicated to holistic well-being, environmental responsibility, and empowerment.

What sets JusRédor apart is our commitment to crafting activewear that’s eco-friendly, versatile, and hypoallergenic. This brand was born from my personal journey, extending beyond stylish activewear to make a positive impact on lives. It all started with my love for movement and expression, cultivated during my active life as a dancer long before my lupus diagnosis. My journey with lupus made me discover the health benefits of our bamboo material.

We’ve celebrated incredible milestones, from being a Black Ambition semifinalist to gracing NYFW Sustainable Fashion Week. Our recent lupus awareness dancing fundraiser was a heartwarming success, aligning with our mission of giving back.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back on my entrepreneurial journey, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge stand out as particularly impactful.

Firstly, resilience has been a cornerstone of my journey. Entrepreneurship is a path filled with challenges, and the ability to bounce back from setbacks, learn from failures, and maintain a steadfast commitment to the vision is crucial.

Secondly, adaptability has played a pivotal role. The business landscape is dynamic, and success often hinges on the ability to adjust to changing circumstances. Being flexible and open to making necessary changes has been instrumental in navigating the entrepreneurial terrain.

Thirdly, a passion for learning has been a driving force. In an ever-evolving world, staying informed about industry trends, acquiring new skills, and continually seeking knowledge have been essential. A genuine love for learning not only fuels personal growth but also fosters innovation within the business.

For those embarking on their entrepreneurial journey, I offer the following advice:

1. Cultivate Resilience:
Understand that setbacks are inherent in the entrepreneurial path. Develop a mindset that perceives challenges as opportunities for growth.

2. Embrace Adaptability:
Be open to change and iteration. What works today may not work tomorrow, and the ability to adapt positions you for sustained success.

3. Nurture a Love for Learning:
Stay curious. Actively seek out knowledge through reading, attending workshops, and engaging in mentorship. The more informed you are, the better equipped you’ll be to navigate the complexities of your chosen path. Remember, the journey is as crucial as the destination, so embrace it with an open heart and a commitment to continual growth.

Ultimately apply the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that stood out to me as particularly impactful.
