Leo Dunn &, thank you so much for making time for us today. We’re excited to discuss a handful of topics with you, but perhaps the most important one is around decision making. The ability to make decisions is a key requirement for anyone who wants to make a difference and so we’d love to hear about how you developed your decision-making skills.
It can sometimes be difficult to make decisions when you are a roofing and siding contractor. Whether it’s installing a new roof on someone’s home after they sustained hail damage or installing new siding on someone’s home after they sustained hail damage, all decisions are important. What has best helped develop our decision-making skills is the value we put on customer service. We believe it is a priority to keep the customer’s needs in mind when making any decisions. As a roofing and siding contractor, we are obligated to install the best product for our customers. This is why we use top grade storm shingles from Owens Corning and GAF. For siding we use products from James Hardie and LP. The decision to use the most quality products is one we do not take lightly. It is easy for other contractors to take shortcuts to save costs, but we believe the products we use are a reflection of us and we make the decision to choose quality every time.

Road Home Exteriors is a local Roofing & Siding Contractor serving the Denver Metro area. Road Home Exteriors was started on the idea that customer service and accountability can still exist in construction. As a Roofing & Siding Contractor, we take pride in using the best products for installing roofing and siding. We use established brands like James Hardie, LP, Owens Corning, and GAF in our work. By using the best products, we give our customers the peace of mind that should come with all roofing and siding installation.

As a local, small business, Road Home Exteriors also provides a personal touch that larger roofing and siding contractors do not. Our customers are not merely a number to us, they are our neighbors. We are not storm chasers, door knockers, or pushy sales people that are only after profits. Our customers are our priority and we are not satisfied until they are satisfied.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
As a roofing and siding contractor, Road Home Exteriors is a place where quality and kindness meet. The projects we do are often large ones that are big decisions for home owners. We pride ourselves on providing a low-stress environment that also provides confidence for our customers that their roofing and siding will be installed well. Our ability to communicate with our customers and give them honest information is what we believe helps us succeed.

We also pride ourselves in communicating our knowledge to those customers who may not be as informed on the products and process of our profession. Our job is to inform and advise while using our expertise in roofing and siding to our customers. With the knowledge we pass along, we encourage our customers to make the best decision for their situation. Every roofing and siding situation is different and we only want what is best for our customer’s specific situation. Using products from highly reputable companies like LP, James Hardie, Owens Corning, and GAF are another example of providing our customers with the best of what’s available.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
As a roofing and siding contractor, Road Home Exteriors wants any and all clients to be someone we can help. Sometimes, we are not the right company for their home project. If that is the case, we advise them on the best action. If it is a job that is within our expertise, we advise them on the best options for their roofing and siding. Even if we are not chosen for their project, we still like to be a resource for them in the future for all roofing and siding needs. We love to communicate with clients and non-clients in the hopes we can help them with their homes. Roofing and siding is our area of expertise and we are more than happy to share this knowledge with our community.
