Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jessica Miller. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jessica , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I believe in finding joy in the pursuit of what lights up my passion. By listening to my heart and embracing challenges, I’ve learned to express myself authentically without being overly concerned about others’ opinions. Putting my ‘art on my sleeve’ has allowed me to transform failures into motivation. Regular meditation has been instrumental in self-discovery and replacing negative beliefs with empowering ones. Through this journey, I’ve come to understand that embracing experiences, regardless of how I’m perceived, is key to personal growth and happiness.
Please tell our readers about what you do, what you feel is most exciting or special about it, as well as anything else you’d like folks to know about your brand/art/etc. If relevant, please also tell our readers about anything new (events, product/service launches, expansion, etc
As the creative force behind WanderBird Photography LLC for nearly two decades, I’ve dedicated myself to capturing the essence of nature through fine art photography. My work aims not just to showcase the beauty and diversity of the natural world but to evoke emotion and inspire viewers through poetic imagery. What excites me most is the ability to adapt seamlessly to different environments, allowing me to convey the unique emotions of each setting. My online gallery, @wanderbird.net, offers an exclusive collection of landscapes and wildlife scenes that take viewers on a journey, right from the comfort of their homes.
What would you advise – going all in on your strengths or investing on areas where you aren’t as strong to be more well-rounded?
In my journey as an artist, I’ve found a balance between leveraging my strengths and investing in areas where I may not be as strong. It’s crucial to identify your gifts and continually educate yourself to refine those strengths. Simultaneously, exploring new areas and gaining a well-rounded skill set broadens your creative horizons and allows for continuous growth. The key is to strike a harmonious balance between honing your expertise and embracing new challenges.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
In the realm of photography, patience stands out as the paramount quality. The ability to remain calm and composed amid unpredictable outdoor conditions ensures that no magical moment is lost. Adaptability is equally crucial—creative processes often involve challenges, and the capacity to find solutions is indispensable for capturing the perfect shot. Finally, cultivating a curious mindset and openness to new experiences is essential. This curiosity fuels inspiration, enabling me to evolve, push artistic boundaries, and create work that captivates and distinguishes me in a competitive field.
Continuous growth is inseparable from education. Patience, adaptability, and curiosity must extend to a commitment to learning the latest trends and gaining new skills. This includes staying ahead of technological advancements, mastering visual editing software, and leveraging online resources and tutorials. By maintaining a balance between artistic expression and technical proficiency, I create impactful and innovative work that resonates with audiences and remains relevant in a dynamic industry.
