We caught up with the brilliant and insightful TaNia Williams a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
TaNia , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
My confidence and self-esteem was something that didn’t happen overnight. It took me giving myself so many chances and allowing myself to have room to elevate. I learned from people that were more experienced than me and took that into consideration to be my best self.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a Dallas Makeup Artist. I’m very excited for the new levels that God is bringing me with my business. I’ve recently completed makeup academy so now I am a CERTIFIED makeup artist. Today December 12, I have launched my makeup line called KËSH Beauty. All glory be to God for just placing me at the right place at the right time.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three qualities that were most impactful was being open to learn new techniques, staying up to date with trends and being confident in what you bring to the table. Being in makeup academy definitely helped me on my journey so I recommend to always take classes no matter how good you think you are. Standing your ground and staying true to your brand is so important.
