We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Charnita Horton a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Charnita, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur through out my life!!! I knew something was in me and I knew God will make my husband and I rich. I did not know my true purpose until I develop Charnitasworld. (my brand) My brand is where I show the transparency of my life. it shows the how and the why!!! I tell my pain and I tell my healing!!!!
I love to inspire and motivate others to push the button on their dreams

I am a product of Birmingham City Schools and earned my bachelor’s degree in Business and Human Resource Management from Jacksonville State University. With my experience and expertise, I am a licensed broker, credit specialist, real estate investor, life and business coach, motivational speaker, and business owner to Smartaxx where we service over 4000 clients!!! I am the owner of , Bella- Rose Boutique( name after my daughter) we rent out suites to other business owners!
I now also have my own Reality Show Called Charnita’S World on Nubian TV that can be downloaded!!!! Melody Shari from Love and Huntsville is the owner of Tilted Crowns production (this company did all my filming and production!!!!
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

It’s best to start where you are and use what you have!!! I started from the bottom! I was considered the underdog!!! You can do it! Change your mindset!!! Think Rich!!!
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My husband is the reason why I push so hard!!! He is (MY MAN) He told me I will be an amazing tax professional! He told me I will do great recruiting for my own company! He invested in Charnita’S World!!!! He push me to reach the max!!! Now I have my own reality Show
He is the reason why I continue to enhance my skills and knowledge!!!
