Meet Gabrielle Johnson

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gabrielle Johnson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gabrielle below.

Hi Gabrielle , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Growing up, my grandmothers were my primary caregivers, and they taught me the value of hard work and dedication. My Grandmother Laura Johnson was a Childcare Director and my grandmother Jacqueline Brown also known as “JB” was a Lead Administrative Secretary and Community Mother.

Watching them both I learned the value of hard work and dedication from an early age. Laura Johnson instilled in me a strong work ethic that has stayed with me throughout my personal life ( focus on values to achieve the GOAL) This allows you to enjoy the Journey no matter how long it takes to reach or complete.

My grandmother was a hardworking woman who always put family taking care of her daughters mental health and raising her grandchildren first but would cut you off if you were unlawful, fake, talk to much, lied or steal. She worked tirelessly to provide for her loved ones rather blood or water (Friend or Family), and she taught me to do the same. She believed that anything worth having required effort and determination, and she led by example everyday and twice on Sunday.

Through Jackie Brown guidance, I learned to take pride in my work and to approach every task with a sense of purpose. Whether it was studying for exams or completing chores around the house, I developed a habit of working diligently and consistently.

Today, I credit my grandmothers for helping me cultivate a strong work ethic that has served me well in all areas of my life.

Laura would say that developing a strong work ethic is an essential aspect of achieving success in life.

Jacqueline Brown would often tell me stories of how she had to work hard to provide for her family, and how she never gave up, even when things got tough. I would often see her working tirelessly around the house and in the garden where she allowed me to help and that’s where our bond continues now that she has transitioned.

These stories had a profound impact on me and helped me understand the importance of perseverance. Always approach your work with dedication, willing to learn new things and a willingness to go the extra mile Gabby.

As I grew older, I carried the lessons that my grandmothers taught me into my professional life. I have always approached my work with dedication and a willingness to go the extra mile. I believe that it is this work ethic that has helped me achieve success, develop meaningful community relationships and reach my goals overall✨
