Meet Sarah Mondet

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sarah Mondet a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
My optimism stems from a combination of my inherent belief in the power of a positive mindset and my experiences overcoming challenges. Throughout my life, I have encountered various obstacles, both personally and professionally, and each time, I’ve chosen to approach them with a proactive and optimistic outlook. I firmly believe that maintaining a positive mindset not only enhances one’s resilience but also fosters a conducive environment for problem-solving and growth.

Additionally, I draw inspiration from witnessing the achievements and successes of others, particularly in the face of adversity. Learning from the stories of individuals who have overcome significant challenges reinforces my belief that optimism, coupled with hard work and determination, can lead to favorable outcomes. Moreover, I find that optimism is contagious and can inspire collaboration and teamwork, creating a more harmonious and productive work environment.

Overall, my optimism is a conscious choice, grounded in a proactive mindset, personal experiences, and a genuine belief in the potential for growth and success in any situation.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Absolutely, I’m happy to share more about what I do at Picnic by Nature. As a dedicated business in the world of event planning, I specialize in creating memorable and magical picnic experiences for a variety of occasions, including proposals, birthdays, baby showers, elopements, and many more.

What makes my work most exciting and special is the joy it brings to my clients’ special moments. Picture this – a beautifully curated picnic setting, tailored to suit the occasion, nestled in a picturesque location. It’s not just about arranging a picnic; it’s about creating a unique and personalized experience that captures the essence of the celebration.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing the sheer delight on my client’s faces as they step into a dreamy, customized picnic setup designed just for them. I take pride in the meticulous details, from the decor to the carefully created snacks, all crafted to reflect the individuality of each event.

I’m committed to turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories. My mission is to go beyond the traditional picnic setup and create immersive experiences that linger in the hearts of my clients and their guests.

I believe in the power of celebrating life’s milestones surrounded by the beauty of nature, good company, and a touch of elegance. It’s not just about organizing events; it’s about crafting stories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge have been particularly impactful:

1. Creativity and Innovation: In the world of picnic event planning, the ability to think creatively and bring innovative ideas to the table has been crucial. It’s about going beyond the conventional and crafting unique experiences that leave a lasting impression.

2. Attention to Detail: The success of any event lies in the details, and this is especially true in our line of work. Every element, from the color palette to the arrangement of props, plays a role in creating the perfect atmosphere.

3. Communication and Relationship Building: Building strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members is fundamental. Effective communication ensures that everyone is on the same page, leading to smoother collaborations and successful events.

My advice to those starting their journey is to embrace a growth mindset. Be curious, continuously seek to expand your knowledge, and don’t be afraid to learn from both successes and challenges. Surround yourself with mentors and peers who inspire you, and remember that each step is an opportunity for growth. Stay passionate about your craft, stay dedicated to honing your skills, and always be open to evolving with the industry. Success comes to those who are resilient, adaptable, and passionate about their journey.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Yes, I’m always open to exciting partnerships and collaborations with individuals or businesses that share a passion for creativity and exceptional event planning.

I’m particularly interested in collaborating with local Artisans and Vendors who can help bring a special touch to the events. Photographers and content creators who can help us tell the story of our events through captivating visuals. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling, we’d love to explore collaboration opportunities.
For larger events or collaborations, I welcome partnerships with experienced event planners and coordinators who bring visions to life and ensure seamless execution.
