We recently connected with Remonde Levy and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Remonde, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I get my resiliency from all the NO’s I have received over the year’s. Each “No” that I received gave me the confirmation that I am 1 “YES” away from reaching my destination. I believe that I have my own personal opinion and my own way of dealing with resiliency. I would also add that my ability to be resilient comes from the inner soul searching I have been working on recently. I understand the importance of discipline and structure. So with that alone I am able to focus more on what will be and move away from what will not be. Also, I would say that my ability to understand my “why” would separate me from anything, and anyone else who doesn’t understand that. I’ve developed a source of information that will allow me to connect with others in a way that would help me demonstrate why I am resilient in all aspect’s of my work and life.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hello everyone , I would like to properly introduce myself and let everyone know that I am originally from Buffalo, New York. My name is Remonde Levy and I am 33 years old. I have two separate educational degrees. One being from Benedict College in Columbia, SC and the other being from Full Sail University in Orlando, FL. My first degree from BC is a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Broadcasting and my second degree is a Master of Science degree in Entertainment Business. Each degree was accomplished and received before the age of 23, and for that I am personally proud of. Over the years I’ve accumulated a plethora of opportunities to walk in fashion shows such as New York Fashion Week (NYFW), Miami Fashion Week (MFW), LA Fashion Week (LAFW) and more. Having the opportunities to be signed to multiple modeling and acting agencies in New York, LA, Miami, and Oregon has allowed me to travel a little more and for that I am grateful. During my time of being signed to these agencies I’ve worked multiple e-commerce, print, and campaign jobs. However, I’ve slightly felt like the underdog due to the lack of proper support or connection that I know that I feel I deserve or should have access to. But, I am extremely optimistic about what 2024 will bring especially with the new sponsorship deals I have received lately. Just to name a few, they are “BUCKED UP”, “ZEST”, and more. I feel that due to my ability to change, grow, heal, and develop I am destined for greatness. One of the most important things that I have incorporated into my daily routine is prayer and meditation. I’ve recently moved into the direction of bodybuilding and acting. Having the opportunities to sign to two different management teams, has allowed me to be more efficient and more importantly available for all blessings to come this year, all while being a service provider to my clients at Hardcore Fitness. I have a plan to develop a more business and social foundation for myself all while still manifesting my dreams into reality. I am a firm believer that faith doesn’t work without you putting in the work. So, I will continue to exploit my work ethic and gracefully develop a sense of progress even more so as I strive more and more everyday..
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I would say that 3 of the most important qualities, skills, and areas of knowledge would be, comprehension, discipline, and the ability to understand perspective. I would even throw in there the ability to be considerate of peoples feelings , thoughts, and emotions. I would say that those are the most important things that describe me and the impact that I have had over the years. My advice too those that would like to add theses specific qualities too there characteristics would be to study it and find how you can use those to your advantage for the greater good of humanity.
How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
Yes, there is and I would just say that I can relate to everyone who is currently going through a challenge. But, I would say that this too shall pass.
