Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Tiera with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I 100% get my work ethic from my mom! From the time I was a little girl until now, my mom has worked harder than anyone I know. She worked and provided a home for my siblings and I. Watching how she put us first, is the reason I go so hard for my family. I’ve sacrificed time with my wife and daughter to ensure my family was well taken care of!
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Hello! My name is Tiera Masters and I’m the founder and owner of Up Crown Designs LLC. Here at Up Crown Designs, we make custom apparel for birthdays, events, travel, etc. What makes us special is that everything is in house, made to order, and by hand. We have invested a lot to be able to prove our customers with quality products. Not only do we press our on products, we now can make our own DTF transfers! Recently we’ve been focusing on providing merchandise for large groups and small businesses. We’ve also been working on a kids clothing line, but shhhhh that’s a secret.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Listening, being driven, and faith. There were nights I stayed up until 5/6 a.m., watching videos and visually teaching myself how to perfect my craft! I did not beg or pay anyone to teach me, I put in the time to learn. The advice I can give is, remain focused and humble. Understand that no one perfected their craft overnight. You will lose money, you will waste or mess up materials. It all apart of the road to greatness!
