Meet Max Wasa

We recently connected with Max Wasa and have shared our conversation below.

Max , thank you so much for making time for us. We’ve always admired your ability to take risks and so maybe we can kick things off with a discussion around how you developed your ability to take and bear risk?
I developed my ability to take risks early in my career. I was the youngest of five and found that in order to keep up with my much older siblings I had to be able to take a fall and recover quickly and efficiently.
Each and every day we face challenges that could put us at risk .Not only with work and play but emotionally and financially as well as physically. When it came to my decision to not “play it safe”, I took a long look at the success rate of the people who pushed themselves to learn and grown and take risks.I am very proud of my accomplishments and feel that the risks were worth it.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I started acting at an early age working in both film and television as well as voice acting. I had come from a long line of talented musicians and intellectuals so I naturally was led in the same direction. I also loved sports so I spent as much time as I could in the water.
The ocean became my University. Learning the tides and the timing was the best Math professor I could have. I found my silence in the ocean and in that silence I found compassion not only for the world but for myself.
I found my way into the Stunt world where I was able to put my love of movement and lack of fear to the test.
Along with Stunts comes healing. You must study the body and the most natural and holistic ways of healing.
From that Liquid body healing art’s was formed.
Now keep in mind that at the same time I was still working in the film and music world.
In Music I was then and still actively do today, own and operate liquid music Group, llc.
As a producer, engineer full spectrum artist manager.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
A journey is never walked alone. Many people have helped me realize my dreams with their support and instruction.
Every day is an opportunity to learn.
If you take a risk understand that it may not always turn out the way you thought. But the lessons learned from the risk will make you a stronger competitor. And the only person you compete with is yourself.
The ocean taught me to be patient and wait for the set. The wind taught me to listen. And every human I have ever met has taught me to float free and never give up.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me is to teach me that a silver spoon will not feed your soul, only education could fill you up.
