We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Morgan Sinclaire Screws. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Morgan Sinclaire below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Morgan Sinclaire with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My commitment to a strong work ethic is deeply rooted in the principles instilled by my parents. They emphasized the importance of consistently delivering the best performance and giving 100% effort in every task. My upbringing has shaped my approach to work, and I am dedicated to maintaining these standards in any professional setting.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am originally from Pittsview, Alabama, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a proud graduate of Tuskegee University.
With over seven years of professional experience, I have cultivated a career as a Content Creator and Strategist, both professionally and as a freelancer. My journey commenced during my college years, driven by a genuine passion for content creation, before I knew about the business or what it was about. I just really wanted to create content because people would come to me and ask about my beauty regime and style details. Over time, I transitioned from unpaid endeavors to lucrative opportunities as an influencer. Subsequently, leveraging my background as an influencer, I secured a full-time role as an in-house content creator for a Fortune 500 company.
I love creating content so much and developed a passion for creativity. What began as a personal pursuit has evolved into successful business ventures, including the launch of my podcast, The R&B Pod, where my best friend and I navigate the complexities of adulthood while reveling in the nostalgia of R&B classics. You can find my podcast, The R&B Pod, anywhere you stream podcasts and follow us @therbpod on Instagram and TikTok.
I am excited for the new things to come and the doors God is opening for me. In addition to creating personal-style and lifestyle content, I am broadening my scope to offer content creation services for businesses, special occasions, and events. I look forward to the unfolding chapters and the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I believe that drawing wisdom from life experiences, listening to the advice of cherished family and friends, and identifying one’s passions and strengths to develop transferable skills have been integral to my personal journey.
The advice I would give others would be: don’t be fearful of the journey. There have been plenty of times when I thought I couldn’t do things, I didn’t want to make a mistake or I wanted to give up but I prayed to God asked for strength to continue. Think of your journey as running a race. The Bible says the race is not given to the swift or the strong but to the one who endures to the end. During your race, you’re going to be tired, you’re going to be frustrated, mistakes are going to be made, and you want to give up, but look forward to what lies at the end, whether be it success, personal growth, or brighter days, etc. It’s the lessons learned on the journey and the alternative paths you take while running the race, that make it worth the experience. Just know things are going to be ok and they are going to happen. Embrace the journey, knowing that it will lead you to a place of strength and fulfillment.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Currently, I create content for Target. In their social feeds, you may sometimes see my hands or hear my voice. It’s been a blessing to work for them and create impactful, culturally relevant content.
Since I am expanding my business efforts, I am accepting clients like businesses and brands that want more quality social content to promote their services and products; people who want social content for their weddings, engagements, and special occasions; and anyone who needs social media content.
