Kara, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose when I was little. I grew up with all boys in my household and all I knew were sports. So at a young age I played T-Ball. As I grew older I started playing sports such as track and was in lifting classes in high school as well. Once I got into college I major in Exercise Physiology and became a personal trainer. I love fitness, I eat, sleep, and breathe it.

Kara Stephens is the founder/ceo of KaySlay Fitness. She has a passion for working out and has always been into fitness since she was younger. Kara decided to launch her fitness business August 2018. Her business motto is “I want to make you, a more healthier you.” Kara now posses a BS in Exercise Physiology and a AS In Physical Therapy Assistant. She is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant and certified personal trainer.

KaySlay Fitness LLC is a fitness business that sells custom fitness & meal plans, as well as, custom fitness apparel such as leggings, athletic tops, and booty bands! That’s not all, KaySlay Fitness has expanded to now sell custom merchandise from hoodies, to masks and even plates.

What sets KaySlay Fitness apart from others is that we do not care if you are young or old, small, or overweight, we help anyone and everyone! It does not matter if you have a gym membership or an at home gym! KaySlay Fitness can work with what ever phase you are at in your fitness journey!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. My professors definitely made a huge impact on me for my journey, with resources and teaching me the fundamentals. 2. One major quality that was impactful in my journey was my wiliness to learn new things from other people in my same industry.
3. Lastly, my background of sports growing up, plus my two degrees have been very impactful in my journey.

My best advice is to never be afraid to ask for help! Also, there is always something new you can learn! In the fitness industry there is always something new coming out, so do not think you know everything!

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me, is be my biggest supporter! They always paid for my products without asking for. discount, they always share my post on social media, and they always tell their friends about me and how proud they are.
