Meet Amber Anderson

We recently connected with Amber Anderson and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
To Gain Confidence, Let alone Maintain it; was a Huge Lesson to learn that took most of my life to Learn too. As i started being more and more comfortable with what i do, the feeling of Having a self passion for my craft really starts to develop! When you have a self passion You Will Love your craft with no fear of Outside views when its shared! Just like my music, it took a long time to find that self passion but eventually i was able to see that Its Mine, its beautiful, my Skills are small but growing so thats why i must Be Brave and Positive in my art.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
So I am a Digital Pop Artist, i Produce pop music in my home studio. Its not 100% professional and im all for it! I have taught Myself throughout my entire career. Music has been in my family for Generations and its Still soaring through me Wildly, Its my Therapy, the source of my energy, and the Beacon of my inspiration! You should see me at my other job when i forget my headphones Cause i get So mad at everything when i don’t have music, its so funny.
If anything its also taught me to Create for myself and Nobody else this helped Contribute to My Departure from my Former Label.
Music also helps me be able to release my emotions in my music! My last Album “AFTER PARTY” Was released on November 22nd 2022 and it was filled with emotions of “Depression” “sadness” “anxiety” Ect. I wanted to connect to people in a relatable way because i felt the same!
This is also the same formula for my next full length album expected around this fall or winter!
All this to say music plays a huge role in my story and i Take great Joy in sharing it with the world!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Well i know everyone is completely different in what they do but We all have one thing in common. Thought energy
In a way you can also say its an area of Knowledge almost.
They best way you can improve on these is To Already know and accept When you will take the “L”
Your gonna mess up, your gonna feel alone, Your gonna wanna give up..like a lot!, But the best thing you can do is not control; but Shift the energy as best as you can and understand that you will Fail but its ok to fail. You can get up and do what you can and call it a day.
If you wanna take the “L” and do something different that’s Perfectly Ok too, no Shame in trying new things.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
If have to say “How to be a Bawse” by Lilly Singh Played an important role. When i was younger I spent most of My weeks in my room watching her YouTube videos and how she inspired me as well as Giving me a hope of representation as a woman of color! But when her Book came out i was just as pleased with the message, it taught me to be more strong, Brave, Aware of my surroundings and prepared me for womanhood!
